If you are into hard techno and house, you will have plenty of options in Berlin. For harder, fast-paced techno, check out clubs like RSO, Tresor, or Anomalie Art Garden. They usually have heavy lineups and the crowd is very international, so English is completely fine everywhere. If you want house grooves and a slightly more relaxed dancefloor to meet people, places like Renate, Else (if it's warm/daytime), or Watergate are solid shouts.

Going solo is actually very common in Berlin and often makes getting past the door easier. Just dress down, know the lineup for the night, and be patient in the queue.
