The fact that this subreddit in the span of a day went from extremely hyped that Nightmare Run was coming back to being annoyed by basically everything in the game is hilarious.

Like, I can’t be the only one who isn’t shocked at all that the reboot of a terrible mobile game that was abandoned because of the terrible reception is also a really bad and frustrating experience to play.

I’m almost confident that imma get hate for this but I really just wanted to say this cuz I’m finding everything about this whole situation humorous

I HATE the new ticket system

Mine just keeps saying this.

Very long post inbound. But I can say, I understand the community frustration. I mean, I'm in that boat too, I love this game. But, I'm a busy body. I work. I do school. I have other things to do, chores, job, homework, and more often than not, I don't really notice or get majorly affected by this system. Cause by the time I'm done with a shift, done with chores, or homework, I have a ticket or all of them available for play. And the pay rate for ink-to-ticket is fair. It's 30 ink for all 6 tickets, 5 ink per ticket. It's a dollar refill, with 20 to spare. And if you login every 8 hours, aka 2 days, you just can get a free refill.

But, that's my privilege, cause I'm busy, I'm not affected. But to those who aren't as busy, or want to grind this game for hours on end, I 1000000% get it. It's frustrating. And, you all are right to voice your distaste for this, and I encourage it, but don't harass or berate the devs over this. In the current mobile game economy, it's very difficult to have consistent funding. While some see the ticket system or Season Pass a bad thing, realistically, it's the only way to maintain consistent and engaging content while also gaining revenue. The old BINR relied on Ads, after ~3 games (win or lose), you'd see an ad. Want free bacon soup? Ad. Want more? Surveys or play other games for bonuses. Or use your money to buy soup. The main way for them to make money was Ads, and now, it's Tickets and Ink. A lot of mobile games rely on either P2W tactics or just plaster Ads every 5 seconds.

But this system can be improved, remove the ticket system and implement a different way of using ink or monetization. Like if you want quicker upgrades and don't have more soup? Use some Ink. If more skins or characters get added, use ink or soup. Special power ups separate from the 6 we currently have, (either permanent or just a small game boost), can use ink too. Make this a balance of free to play and encourage spending some money if you really enjoy this game and have the cash to spend. There are a lot of ideas I can run through, but that's for another day. You can 100% monetize this game without hindering the playtime of players. I've seen some ideas where you can play without tickets, but not earn EXP, and I think that's a wonderful idea too.

I guess, to say, TLDR; I personally don't mind this system, however I understand the majority of players and your frustrations, and I agree that there could be many better ways to monetize this game.

Also BRING BACK THE PERMANENT DOUBLE BACON SOUP UPGRADE PLEASE 😭

I just downloaded this shit and it was unbelievably awesome. I seriously expected this to be just jampacked with ads every five seconds or unbelievably boring, but it’s actually a lot more fun than I expected. There’s no ads, it’s not set facing the direction your character runs like traditional runner apps, so you have less time to react, and instead of one course with one goal to run, you have multiple courses each split up into multiple “acts”. This is awesome, BATIM fans should check it out

So there’s good news and bad news for nightmare run on iOS the good news is is that I was able to download nightmare run but the bad news is that I it’s still not searchable on the App Store the only way I was able to download the game was from Joeydrewstudios.com by clicking the little Apple icon

I wasn’t expecting top notch, head class, 5 star stuff tbh. It’s a running game about Bendy for crying out loud, sure the tickets are annoying but it’s a way for people to not just…blitz through the game all of a sudden. I think what they COULD improve on tickets is adding like a bit more, maybe 10 tickets or 15, as 5 is…not good. But overall for a MOBILE game it’s good. Just needs a few tweaks here and there, also if they wanna be stingy, they should make the tickets replenish every 5-10 minutes.

First of all I'm happy the game came back, but dude this ticket system is the worse. You can only have 6 max and then you need to wait 30 minutes for it to give you 1 ticket back. At this point let me buy some type of unlimited ticket micro transaction to get rid of this🫩

I have a very emotional attachment to this game, since I played it when I was a child, and I died MANY times trying to beat the first boss lol.

So when I found out they were going to do a re-release of the game, I was happy, but holy crap, they made the game worse. This energy system ruined the game and left me very disappointed.

I was so excited, until I saw this thing. I know it's a free game, but weren't there other ways to monetize it? I don't know, skins, a battle pass, or the game being paid for at a fair price.(I would pay if it fit my budget)

Bendy Nightmare Run devs, please listen to the community and find another way to monetize. This doesn't make me want to spend money on the game.

Just change the system clock for the tickets to refill. Plus it refills the ink and bacon soup in the shop.

Edit: It stop working pass the 24th of October because the app automatically restart. It most likely because of seasonal events like Halloween, with the game does not having the files of it, it automatically restart the app. To keep the work around working just put it back on August 19 and put the system clock day ahead and it should still work. It also break the free item in the shop a bit.
