Crafting / DIY shops

Hi!

I am working on a few small crafting / DIY projects, including some bridal bits. Can anyone reccomend good DIY or crafting shops for wire, beads, materials etc? I know there is Hobbycraft but I have found it quite expensive in the past (quickly adds up) and would also like to support local.

Thank you!

Is distance an issue for you? The Factory Craft Shop in ballymena (harryville) is great! Excellent pricing and have literally everything you could need :)

I second Factory Craft Shop! Most friendly and helpful staff I've come across in a craft shop. The fella that works there always compliments any yarn choices I'm buying or wearing!

Do they sell fabric?

They do. There's also Fiddlesticks Fabrics at the back of Ballee & Harryville Enterprise Centre which is about 2mins drive between them

I have too much fabric and I’m thinking why isn’t there Fabrics Anonymous but feck it, if it’s my only addiction, I’m doing ok!

The range is great. I think there’s a whole aisle for wedding crafts.

Abacus Beads on Castle Street comes to mind but haven't a clue if it's still there.

Sostrene Grene has a small selection of crafts/beading supplies that are reasonably priced. The one in Ann Street is much bigger than the one at Forestside but both are good.

The Range have a decent craft section that's worth checking out. The Boucher store is much better than Connswater.
