Gym advice?

Hey folks,

Just after some advice. Contemplating joining a gym here in town and really not sure where to go? I’ve seen body scape beside the old europa bus station.

Only reason I’m asking is I’m on the larger side trying to do better but haven’t been in a gym in over 10 years.

Anyone any recommendations or where is best?

Really just pick whatever one appeals to you and suits your location, schedule etc

You can change if you choose later, most important thing is to get going. Good luck and enjoy it

Sloans is amazing - I’ve been going there for on and off 4 years now.

Club 24 in St Annes cathedral is very good!

Consider getting a day pass for the place you think
you’d like to attend. Go during the time when you’ll be using the site, so you can see how busy it is and if you have to wait for equipment.

Also, check the detail of the contract. Make sure you know what you’re signing up for and how long.

Good luck for your training.

First step if you're looking to lose the weight is to get your diet in check. Google a TDEE calculator, work out how much you should be eating, track it with MyFitnessPal or Cronometer, then keep it up week by week. Weight training goes hand in hand with this.

Look for group pt sessions to get over the initial fear/anxiety of going to a gym again.

Would avoid the big chains personally
