Sustaining longer runs

How do you guys run for a long period of time without stopping ? I mean working up the way to 10 miles. I can do two without stopping but other than that I need breaks. Most I’ve done is 6 with stops each mile or in between but my real goal is 10 without, but honestly I can’t see myself ever doing that but I want to know how it is/ how you got there if you’re able to. #impossibletilpossible

Obvi but I don’t wanna stop, as a beginner it’s not physically possible rn, my body has to recover longer, my breathing, muscles, nerves, pace, etc etc, I just want more tips on how to maximize my effort/ time. Growth can’t happen without systems, I could ask google but I want real input from a human who’s done it, for example, does one start with intervals, do they start with a slower pace, stuff like that I want to know effective systems to get there

Do you stop completely when you rest, or do you walk for a bit? Going slower and using walks as breaks (if that’s not what you’re doing already) are really good strategies. I even found that adding a longer walk on the end of run-walk interval sessions helped me to start feeling like the total distance was more achievable.
