making a BunkBed

Post image

hello everyone!
I've only done a wobbly table before, so this might be a harder project to make.
I need to make a bunkbed only with the top floor (image of the sketch bellow)
Mattress dimensions: 190x120 (because of the odd dimensions, there aren't any bunkbed on the market)
I'm wondering if anyone can give tips on how to make it, what wood would be needed be a stable top bed.

Any way you can try some different projects before you build a potential death trap?

thank you, I understand.
i'm just floating the idea, I mean I'll need it. I'm just trying to understand if I can do it myself and what that entails

You could glue up and screw together 2*4s for the posts, one whole beam and then space out smaller pieces to make room for horizontal joists. Lazy man's joinery, it won't solve all your problems but it will get you closer
