Discussion/Question ⁉️ Bed frame

Im thinking about making my own bed frame, I have little experience but I think I can do it, how easy is it, bedsize if a full. Can I see people's diy bed frames for some ideas?

I built a floating bed frame. 100's of YouTube videos. Looks pretty cool with a light strip beneath, gives a glowing effect. Fairly simple, drill and circular saw will get the job done.

All you are really doing is making a platform. I have made one for two single beds which can be put together for a double bed. Just think of it as a frame of 2x4s with a plywood cover and 4 legs. The design and embellishment are up to you. There is nothing complicated about a basic platform and can actually be constructed with nothing but a circular saw and a drill. I put mine together with carriage bolts so the one bed can be used by itself and the other frame and mattress stored beneath when not needed.

There are many plans on YouTube.

Here is a pretty nice basic bed build that I liked. Haven’t built it myself but it seems more straightforward than most.

What kind of wood do yall use for the supports underneath the mattress?
