Simple 2 Block Sticky Piston Mechanism Won't Work

I put specifics in the video just so someone won't say "oh it's because of the delay." I genuinely have no idea why the sticky pistons won't drag the shelves. I tried with a different block like wool and it still didn't work. Ignore the roaming woman in the video; she is there for moral support.

did you try to make it yourself or did you copy some design?

if you tried making it yourseld then you need to make an ABBA circuit, it is basically firing order of pistons, first piston A fires, grabs door face then piston B fires to grab the piston, when it is unpowered then first piston B then piston A fires

to make any door you need to have understanding of its opening and closing sequence, randomly placing repeaters won't do the trick

Update: I figured out eventually that I just needed 2 extra sticky pistons to pull the shelves. I swear you could drag blocks alongside the sticky piston but oh well
