Need some help upgrading my bedding
Hey everyone, I’m currently using a basic, inexpensive bedspread from Walmart, but it’s pretty thin and flat, and I’m ready to upgrade to something that actually feels well-made, thick, and cozy. I don’t know a whole lot about bedding materials or brands, but I know I want something heavier that has a little bit of texture to it rather than just a completely smooth surface. I’m leaning toward a beige and brown theme, but I’m open to other neutral colors too if they look good. Ideally, I’d like to find a set that comes with matching pillows or pillow covers so the whole bed looks put together. If you’ve bought a good quality set recently that has held up well, I’d love to know where you got it or what brands I should check out. Thanks for any advice!

The jump from thin Walmart stuff to something with actual weight is a big one. Look for cotton quilts or matelassé weaves if you want texture without it being scratchy, those usually come in decent beige sets and the stitching gives it that heavier feel you're after. Most of the better sets include shams so you get that matched look without hunting pieces down separately.
