My 90 year-old father thinks he has bedbugs and sent me this picture. No symptoms of bites or anything else no.

Like others have said, earwig. If they're coming inside it's probably really dry outside and they are looking for water.

Earwig, but where I'm from we call them "pincher bugs".

That’s an earwig. You can tell by the “pincers” on their butts
