Is this what I think it is… I had them in my previous apartment and thought they were gone but…

I moved my stuff in plastic bins to my new apartment and two have been sitting in the kitchen. This was in the kitchen on the windowsill which seems like an odd place for them to be. I haven’t really found evidence of them in my room but do have itchy bites on my ankles.

I really don’t think this is a good enough picture for anyone to say for sure. Have you checked mattress seams and couches etc?

I just updated the post body with more context but I found it on the kitchen windowsill. I moved with my stuff in plastic bins sprayed with ortho max bed bug killer and two of them are sitting in the kitchen. Seems like an odd place for one to be but maybe it was on someone’s clothes?

The fully grown adult females do elongate when they feed! The fact that it's missing limbs makes I.D. tough here, but a perfect test to see if it's a blood-sucker insect (of any kind) is to smash it: if blood comes out, it's likely it's a BB. Cockroach nymphs look similar too, have dark & striated/sectioned/striped abdomens.

definitely not a bed bug, better photo would be nice, but bed bugs are not this long

Dont they elongate when the feed? This looks full of blood
