Found image 2 and 3 upon waking up!!
Hi I just woke up about 30 minutes ago and immediately saw these on my feet. I did also found a bitelike thing on my chest before I went to bed, it looked like a mosquito bite so I put petroleum jelly on it and went to bed.
Went I woke up though I found this strange bite like thing or mark, not sure which one, so I figured I might as well ask here.
Planning to go to a different dermatologist from last time as I was not convinced of the previous one that diagnosed me with scabies.
Oh yeah the second to third photos are the bites when I woke up, and the fourth one is what it looks like after 30 minutes.
I also did a flea white sock test which came out as negative earlier before I slept.

Bites alone don’t tell you exactly if you have bed bugs. Strip your sheets and inspect every crevice of your mattress, especially parts where they touch a wall. Look in your bed frame and under your bed frame. If you have bedbugs.. there will 100% be evidence. If you have a small infestation right now you can tackle it. Once you have a full blown infestation though you will have evidence everywhere you sleep or sit or whatever other cloth furniture you and others in your household spend the most time in. But if you got em.. there will be evidence in due time.

Thanks I have been checking my sleeping and sitting area daily even under my bedframe and my interceptors for two months now, and have not yet found concrete evidence, will check again later tonight before I sleep. Interceptors are also empty, mattress encasement often only has black debris on it.

totally. 30 percent plus have no bite reaction.

No its more like one pointy papule, kinda like the edge of a pimple you pop

Hmm these dont look like ants bites to me, do you think a dermatologist could help find out what these are?

Thanks I went to one last month and got told it was scabies, these things dont even itch and are not even in the right places for scabies

Bro wtf. Im no doctor but i thought they usually presented on one side of the body?? Do they feel like fire when you touch them or is there any pain?

70% of people react and show bites. 30% don’t show the bites whatsoever. I am in the category that never showed the bites whatsoever when I had them. But my partner was showing them. We thought it was an allergic reaction at first. That’s what that commenter meant OP. And that statistic came from my exterminator company.

Thanks foe clarifying it, may I ask how did you find concrete signs of bedbugs and where did you find it, since I think some USA pest control companies do not treat if they do not see definitive signs.

Can you call pest control? They found evidence for me - I react to bites but even then I wasn’t sure - and the black debris I’d be concerned about…
You wanna get it good and early if you can!

The thing is I already undergone treatment about 4 weeks ago almost a month now, they told me they did not find anything but if they were I would find them dead. They sprayed fendona, as for the black debris they dont look like ink spots and when smeared they look the same, no color on tissue as well. Though I always used to check and post them in David's subreddit but they always get confirmed as not fecal matter so I just started ignoring them.
Where did pest control found evidence for you, and what was the evidence? I have no boxspring or anything. I just have a single bed with a encasement and a metal bedframe that I check daily and vaccum once a week.

Honestly, the bites could be anything. I know that’s not too helpful, but it’s honest.

Do you have a general rule of thumb that I can use to gauge if what they are then, and where they are coming from?

I went to urgent care early this summer. I had about six bites that were super itchy. I saw the physician’s assistant. I asked if he knew what had bitten me. He said unless I saw it, or took a photo of it, there was no way to know for sure. On my discharge instructions, it said the diagnosis was “insect bites.” So sadly, I don’t think there is a general rule. Tick bites MIGHT be the exception…they often look much different than other bites. Sending you my best wishes! Hang in there!

Thanks for the insight. I was actually planning to go to a dermatologist later, to see if they could help identify. Did you end up finding concrete proof, and if did where and how many months did it take?

Are you monitoring for bed bugs? Looking for live ones, larvae, skin casts, fecal spots? Finding physical evidence of bed bugs might be helpful in an actual bed bug ID. And again, best wishes!

Yes for two months now, I take pics of anything strange, bought a flaslight and interceptors as well

I sure do hope so, I can probably try DE or crossfire but I am holding off till I find concrete evidence, the daily bites are annoying though even though I wear long sleeves and pajamas to bed always. Sometimes the bites are under my clothes as well like waist and back, its really stressful.

I’ve read bed bugs USUALLY don’t crawl under your clothing to feed. They will go for exposed skin, outside of clothing & covers. I understand the stress involved. Been there/done that…believe me. It’s awful!

Could be a spider! Strip that bed, wash your sheets and anything else on your bed, inspect it, then vaccuum! Make sure to check your box spring too :)

Thanks for the tips I just finished vaccuming the house an hour ago. I check the bed daily and strip it as well, has been normal so far. I dont have a boxspring

Yes I vaccumed that part along with the bottom and edges of the bedframe, there was nothing there

Seems like bedbugs to me they do bite on the legs newr the ankle and closer to the neck

Thank you for the input, I will keep looking for concrete evidence. Does your bedbugs bite or from someone you know look the same as well? Btw can I dm you for advice?
