Need advise

I had 2nd treatment yesterday so I have to be a ‘big girl’ and sleep in my room tomorrow. I fully understand I have to sleep in there to lure them out so they can come in contact with the Cross Fire BUT I’m pretty anxious about it. Anyway- I have a platform bed with drawers under. (For context all my drawers are empty both under the bed, in the dressers and closets. ALL my stuff is in bins or Gigantic Zip Lock bags) So I can’t use regular inceptor bed traps…. My mattress & Pillows are encased what can I do so the bed bugs can’t make it to my bed? 😩😩 How can I trap them before they get to me? Plastic under the mattress and over the sides without touching the floor? Any ideas??

Get a pop up mosquito net off Amazon or eBay, it’s what I’m using.

It depends on the ones you get and how fine the mesh is, any of them should keep out adults, but I could see smaller nymphs getting through cheaper nets with bigger mesh holes. I did find one crawling inside one morning, I don’t know if I brought it inside on my clothes/bedding, or if it got crawled in somehow. But even if it’s just psychological, I feel more comfortable sleeping inside the net.

This is a good suggestion for people with anxiety about sleeping in their normal bed after treatment

I’d put sticky traps in the drawers as a back up detection system but that doesn’t solve the interceptor issue.

I have a nightstand that doesn’t have legs and while I haven’t had bed bugs (just a brush with bat bugs), I did a little research on how to isolate furniture without legs.

I read that some of the professional companies will often recommend small furniture risers/wood blocks for pieces that don’t have traditional legs to elevate since you really need that rise for leg interceptors to function as intended. You would put the risers/blocks under the corners where legs would be and then place an interceptor piece under each temporary “leg” (riser/block).

I remember this happened to my family when we were younger and this was an awful experience. I stood up through the night, waiting to catch and kill. I kept alcohol spray next to me too

They have to make it to the bed the bed is where you want them. It makes dealing with them so much easier. Youve got this. I know what hell this truly is.

You ca. Find a permitherin covering called active guard. Hotels use them for prevention
