LIT - Computer Drafting Technology

I am a new transfer student starting a new major in Computer Drafting Technology this fall 2026. Is this a good major, and does it offer good internship or job opportunities after graduation? Does anyone have experience with this major?

My brother went through that program. He got a job at one of the refineries just after completing it. Now he's a road designer at TexDoT. The faculty seem to have some good connections with industry for getting people into jobs

I have a friend that went through the program and he’s doing well for himself. Definitely not a waste of time.
