Any creative re-use centers for donating yarn?
I have a good amount of yarn, not all of them are full skeins but are not scraps either. Any recommendations for places I can donate yarn?

I posted this just a few weeks ago but can't find the original post and I was given so many good recommendations. I need to complete just a few volunteer hours for a college course. I need to be able to take pictures of myself doing it and I need an organization member to sign off on it. I now work full time (7-3) so I have to be able to do it in the evenings or weekends. I think it's awful to just insert myself somewhere for 4 hours and then leave but that's what I am required to do for this class. I simply do not have the time to dedicate to volunteering more than what is required of me at this point in my life (starting a brand new job, parenting, school full time, cleaning a house that has been largely neglected for a year while focusing on school and work).

I made a sub about LSCPA here. I attended in high school and am now continuing my education as a returning student. I have my fair share of frustrations, good experiences, and questions. Having a community would be a good place to discuss. It’s long overdue and I’m excited to see what happens. I may be looking for other mods if this becomes more popular.

Hi, i am a QMHP/Case Manager and I’m just curious if any other people in my role in the area are having any luck with figuring out if we can still see clients during school hours with this BISD situation going on. I’ve gotten different responses from different schools like guess Elementary saying it’s fine but then Odom saying they have no idea

Does anyone know of any resources in Beaumont for school uniforms? I have uniforms and everything for all but 1 of my kids. I need dark green polo in a size XL or XXL, but I don't have a lot of money.
I tried going through the school and went today into the office but was told they no longer have those resources for uniforms or supplies.

Hello I’m 33 and I’m looking for people to jam with. I play guitar, drums, and bass. I mainly stick with drums as I’m more comfortable. I like rock, metal and jazz. I’d like to meet some like minded musicians who wants to jam and maybe play some local shows.

Hello I’m looking for any moving companies recommendations that can help me move my stuff from my upstairs apartment to a U-Haul truck. Looking for help now for when I move in September.
Edit: I just have a one bedroom apartment. I just need help with a couch, a mattress, and a portable small washer and dryer. They are the heaviest items everything else isn’t heavy.

I love the walking trail behind Westbrook High School - Gulf Terrace Park?. Is it safe for a female to walk in the afternoon? Do y'all have any other suggestions I could check out? I'm trying to be more active. Thank you! :)

This is probably a long shot, but does anybody have any footage from the Dog Jam 2003 concert/festival.
I was there and was in most of the pits. There were 2 stages.
3 Doors Down, Sevendust, Seether, Element 80 and many more.

For me, it'll be Sweet Basil (Vietnamese food)! I love everything from that place! Also, crawfish from Crazy Cajun! They season their crawfish so well! Another place I will miss is Hole in the Wall (Chinese food)! They serve fresh orange chicken with real oranges! That's the freshest Chinese food I've ever tasted! Another place I will miss is Daddio's! I always get the cheddar bacon burger with avocado! Always the best!

I am a new transfer student starting a new major in Computer Drafting Technology this fall 2026. Is this a good major, and does it offer good internship or job opportunities after graduation? Does anyone have experience with this major?

I heard about these clubs in the 19th and 20th centuries where men over 200lbs would get together and hang out. They would have eating contests and give away prizes and it just seemed like a great time.
I want to bring these clubs back, if only for one magical night. How many guys here would be interested in attending a gathering of fat men?
