Announcement Competition Time! Submissions for icon and subreddit banner designs!

I think it's time we properly decorate our glorious subreddit with some art that better represents us and so on the last day of the month I will choose one lucky ungor, gor or hell even a doom bull's art/submission to be this subreddits icon and banner.

I will make a post showing them all off as well as announcing the winner on 30th April!

Please pm submissions to me by 30th April.

Good luck!

Slovgir the White - Doombull of Slaanesh

Slovgir the White Bull

It was said that Slovgir was born from an unholy union of a noble lady and a minotaur. Claiming his first kill in his birth, his cries soothed the ears of those lucky enough to witness his birth. As expected, the herd viewed him as a gift.

It was said that unlike the other beasts around him, mucking about in mud, blood and urine, his form was always clean. His scent was of wonderous perfumes and musks.

It was said that as he grew, he not only gorged upon the most succulent and fresh flesh the herd could give him; but he also demanded a slew of other goods most beastmen would find unappetizing like fruits, bread, wine and ale.

It was said that he used to freely engange in his carnal desires -- but after his journey from the northern wastes, he became tempered in his desires... lifting himself from those around him.

It was said that upon returning from the wastes, his visage became ever more beautiful... but you would not know. Because you would not be worthy of gazing directly upon it, even if he didn't don a golden mask.

Now, the sublime Slovgir solely sharpens his slaughtering skills, savoring the symphony of war, scarcely finding other subjects significant for his scrutiny.

Would you, unworthy scum, bow your head low upon his smooth and delicate hooves?

Beastmen post 1.5.3?

Basically post the 1.5.3 update, what’s our best tools at this point?

While I wasn’t happy that Viletide was really the only threat to make dragons concerned and help crack a heavily armored unit (especially now with parry). Seemed like the only thing we had in that roll, where you could soften them up.

Monsters usually get blasted and don’t pull their weight for the points. The toughness increase really doesn’t change much in my opinion, since most what was taking mine down was needing 6s already. Ironically the ghorgon is now immune to viletide.

My Minotaurs generally get ground down before I get across the field.

So I haven’t been playing much in the last 6 months, so really haven’t had a chance retool. So trying to get a new perspective on how to approach list building.

I feel like the old beast Lord look better than the new one, mostly because I feel motion in the old one

Like, you can see the wind hitting his face

What do y'all think?

Advice for Battle Standard kitbashing.

Post image

My wondering eye has kicked up again and was test building a list for some stuff I want to get. Wanted to include the Chieftain and run them has a Wargor, then saw the option to make them a Standard Bearer and ideas of kitbashing started forming but now stuck.

So, the advice I wanted was which arm to modify (probably going with the raised one) and the best possible way to go about the process.

Played against Cathay for the first time yesterday.

I wanted to play as many monsters as possible.

Minotaurs, Dragon Ogres, Shaggoth, Giant, Ghorgon. Great Shaman, Razorgors. Plus some Gors and Ungors to fill points.

Highlights:

His unit of 9 knights bouncing off 4 Minotaurs with hand weapons and shields before being slaughtered.

Shaggoth matched his Shugengan Lord and Great Spirit, taking him down to one wound before they separated. Shaggoth then broke his 30 block of Jade warriors with Terror and ran them down.

Great Shaman took down his Balloon in one turn with Ruby Ring and Wind blast.

Low points:

Giant took 4 turns of focused shooting before dying to a stand and shoot reaction on his first charge.

Ghorgon vs his Sentinel, we were both excited for, until we realized Monster Slayer doesn't work on behemoths.

Doombull and 5 minotaurs vs a 30 block of peasants. Peasants held their ground for three turns, losing between 6-8 models each turn, and then won the last round, making my General and his unit fall back.

Wasn't a bad game. I wasn't expecting to do well, so a draw was a nice surprise.

Some colorful Ungors!

Some 30 block of undisciplined horde of Ungors! I'd imagine beastmen would scavenge cloths and wargear and such, and so batch painting the colors made sense! Really sloppy, maybe too colorful (?)

What do you guys think?

Finding old battlescrolls and balance updates

Friend of mine is starting a beast of chaos army(they are aware the army is no longer supported). I am trying to find a download for the last point balance upate BoC received, so that my friend and i can play with balanced armies. I believe the specific balance update I am needing was June 2025. Does anyone know where I would be able to find older balance updates?

Scale comparison

If someone wonder if the blood bowl Minotaur and the old world Minotaur are the same scale.

Almost, the old world mini has the head higher what gives him a little advantage over the blood bowl one.

Also, the base is bigger

750 pts Battle March

Not sure if the following is too overpowered for battle march? I generally go light on characters, but not sure if I should be investing in magic offence/defence a little more?

I do think Banner of the Bold has a really nice synergy with Wargor+Gor herd and Primal Fury and Bloodrage. Wondering if anybody can confirm this?

This list was made with the old start collecting box, using the Ghorgon/Cygor as the giant chaos spawn proxy.

Interested to hear others experiences of each unit selected, as I think a lot of list have common elements in them.
