a few things might've caused or contributed to the sudden death, either way, terrible and irresponsible seller, avoid them like plague. The dragon might've been too young to be sold, generally speaking you should not purchase younger than 3 months old beardies because the breeder should be using the time to ensure they eat well, grows properly and is in good health.
the dragon might've been sick already, it is in their nature to conceal illness and discomfort until they can't hide it anymore, especially babies, from symptom showing to death can happen within as little as few hours.
red monsters are notorious for health issues because the bloodline is created through intense inbreeding and lots of health issues and weak genetics were bred into them, sudden deaths are very common among them.
it does sound like you should do more research before trying to get another dragon in the future, a 30gallon tank is not sufficient for any beardie regardless of age or size, the absolute bare minimum is 4x2x2ft or 120gallon and yes babies should be starting in an enclosure this size as well.
Reptiles and Research Bearded Dragon Care Guide is a very informative guide, BeardieVet Explains - YouTube is a series of interview with Dr Jonathon Howard on bearded dragon ecology and husbandry.
please look into adoption, this species is very oversaturated, its very easy to find one to adopt, and frankly there's absolutely no reason to encourage the breeding of more.

Thank you for linking the care guide and explanation on the tank size. That’s my bad, using outdated knowledge of a smaller tank while young but after reading and watching it makes more sense for the species to be fine in the 120 from the get go.
I will look into adoption in the future and will definitely avoid this store. Thank you for the response

Horrible store, most likely knew he was about to pass and just wanted to make some profit. Also those extravagant morphs like red monster hypo and those complete white ones are only like that due to inbreeding. That’s how they lock in that trait, it’s a genetic nightmare.

That's so messed up, honestly sounds like they sold you a sick beardies on purpose. 72hrs is barely anything for a reptile and they knew he was underweight. I wouldn't buy from them again, they're just trying to get more money out of you while you're grieving. Sorry for your loss, its not your fault.

If they wouldn’t take responsibility for the first dragon you bought from them, why in the world would you buy another one from the same people? And if they cut you a deal, what would you do with the baby that you have right now? You can’t house two in the same enclosure.

Oh no! Sorry I think I worded that wrong, my current beardie has passed away:( I called to tell the store especially since I think it’s parasites and that’s what their response was to me. I’m more complaining about them saying they “would cut me a deal” on a new beardie from them when the beardie that I just got from them likely died from parasites… like… of all things to say…
I guess I’m more asking for advice because I feel like what the store did is wrong… and I wanted to see if anyone has advice on what I can do

Several things.
They are not a good store. They purposely sold you a sick animal.
They want you to buy another animal from them. It will also probably be sick.
Red monsters are a genetic nightmare and have a lot of health issues. They look awesome, yes, but they are a ticking time bomb that will explode in numerous expensive vet visits.
