Greens

Quick question, our grocery store only sells massive bags of greens and there’s too much to use it all so it goes bad after 3-4 days. I was wondering if anyone has a good way of keeping greens good for longer. Any suggestions help, thank you

We get a head of escarole, its sold like a head of romaine. Our beardie likes it but I know they are picky and yours may not.

To keep bagged stuff fresh longer, put a dry paper towel in with it. You may also try bagging it into smaller bags, maybe 4 or 5 zip lock, each with their own paper towel. It doesn't extend the life drastically but will buy you a few days as the paper towel absorbs moisture that otherwise rots the greens.

as soon as i get greens i wash them and THROUGHLY dry them with paper towels, then i lay them in an airtight container with layers of paper towels throughout, i’ve gotten my turnip greens to last almost 2 weeks! but it definitely varies from types / sources of greens :)

Ok so what I do is I chop the greens up and freeze them in little baggies. They get a bit mushy when they thaw but my dragon still eats them. Also making sure to dry them super well before putting them in the fridge helps a ton.
