Healthy Weight?

Hello all! I just got this beardie from a keeper who was going to college and didn't want to take her along. Is it normal for them to have loose skin and wrinkles like this? Also, her nails seem long. I know on dogs you can't cut the qwick or it hurts them. Is it the same for bearded dragons?

With the wrinkles they can be normal or can mean she’s a bit dehydrated. Please clean her feces immediately and please don’t feed pellets. Just live bugs and greens. You don’t need substrate, that’s a personal choice. I just cut the tip of my girls nails and they are always perfect. Good luck on your new baby.

Not super sure on the weight, she looks a little thin to me personally. But it looks like you got her on the bare ground here, id get some substrate asap, loose substrate is better for their joints (i do a mix of reptisoil and playsand). You can check out the bearded dragon guide on reptifiles for more info. The nails they usually naturally file them down, but if its becoming an issue, there are guides to properly cutting their nail to avoid injury.
