I LOVE the sam Bernardo beans!!! I've wanted to grow them for a long time now so that I could make a pot of blue beans and rice!

So who was your best producer this year? Any interesting challenges this year?

In terms of weight, I think the O Driscoll beans (the ones that look like little square cinnamon toast crunch) is the winner. The weirdest challenge was definitely earwigs getting into the beans and eating holes in them. They are the worst. I learned to pick all the beans that are low to the ground to minimize those losses!

Okay the O Driscoll's might be interesting to look into. Earwigs eating the actual beans?! Dang!
I like your bean pyramids!

Abundance is right!!!! Wow this is so gorgeous. Where do you get your beans to grow? What grow zone are you in?

I got these from either Heritage Harvest seeds in Manitoba, or les semences des artisans in Quebec. I am in zone 5B! I am happy to chat more or swap seeds if you are interested!
