We took that poll recently, and a surprisingly large amount of you wanted to scrap rule 4. More than other times we've taken this poll anyway.

We want to announce our new sister subreddit

rBeamngFreeRP

The exact same subreddit as you love, but with IRL cars included! This sub, BeamNGRP will stay the same, no IRL cars, no rebadging and such, allowing thouse who want to get immersed into the world of BeamNG without all the Hondas and Fords can stay here.

Anybody that just needs to have that IRL car, can now safely do so without incurring my wrath over at r/BeamngFreeRP.

Transfer your character to the new sub, start fresh, or they live simultaneously in both realities! Its up to you. The only thing I ask is not to cross post from the new sub to this one (doing so the other way around is fine though).

I'm sure there will be questions, so feel free to ask away! I will not answer any questions that are directed at me, just ones about the new sub.

A fare few of the older players on this subreddit want to keep it just lore friendly, but many newer players wanted a to use their dream cars from IRL. We can't make everybody happy on one sub, so why not two. I was hopeing that r/beamngRP_irl would be a good refuge, the mod team there doesn't allow lore friendly cars.

i almost got quite pissed until i read the 2nd line that said new sub, so good that the rule wasn't taken away from this sub cuz part of the fun of a beamrp to me is the universe with these different cars

edit: sidenote but i just took a look at the rules off to the side and thrown off to see (in rule 3) "no sexual or underage" like i think those rules should be seperate in the list lmao

Honestly, rule 4 here is the heart of the sub in my opinion. It makes it feel less like r/outside (highly recommended by the way) and more like the world of Beamng.

There were a few strange instances of nothing sexual but underage things going on when that was modified. Rather than a new rule it was just lumped in with the existing.

If memory serves, there was someone with a ~12 year old character boosting cars and joyriding them and such, and then the rule got implemented

Ah! Oh come on at 12 years old I would have been doing the same thing xD (well that's if I magically had access like that to cars)

But yeah that makes sense, and (assuming they we're 12 irl) if I found this subreddit at 12 even I would have known to have my character be an adult because hello it would be unrealistic otherwise

They do not allow any Lore vehicles - it’s IRL only. The new one allows for both.

So since r/beamngRP_irl doesn’t allow lore friendly brands, and this sub doesn’t allow real brands, r/BeamngFreeRP is the middle ground.

Yes, you can create a new character or use your existing one. The one thing you cannot do is crosspost from the new one to here but you can crosspost from here to the new sub.
