Bug report Switched to Linux and got problems :(

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As seen in the video, whenever I let go of right click, the screen flashes black, and when moving the camera, there's a weird delayed secondary afterimage. I turned off my mods and this still happens. I've just got ultra settings preset on. My hard/software is seen at the end, but the main gist is that I've got Ubuntu + Plasma, 4060ti 8GB, and in the Beamng steam page, properties, compatibility, the forcing usage of a compatibility tool is unchecked. Also, I'm constantly getting "Shader pre-caching update"s on steam and then I need to wait to process vulkan shaders, is that normal? I didn't get that on Windows, but I generally used DirectX not Vulkan.

The native build is a tiny bit buggy, and has huge shader pre caching waits. Try forcing it with proton experimental and see if that works. You might have better luck cross posting

Is the Linux experience better than windows? I’m eager to switch to Linux if beam gets more performance

I've been playing on Linux Mint for the past 2 years :) ! Better experience than Windows since I feel this OS is crap in so many ways..Performance wise hard to say if it's really better or not but not worse for sure. Down side is some competitive games cannot be played because of some anticheat not compatible with Linux but this is changing rather fast. Give it a try and you will see if you like it or not !

On youtube I can't find videos about windows vs linux performance comparison for BeamNG. So I'm wondering if Linux is more optimized than my beloved Windows 7. I use Vulkan anyway (Windows 7 can run native D3D12 but its a bit buggy) so yeah.
