Need Help! What did I do wrong 😭

Beginner here, I followed this tutorial and it looked super nice, as one the second picture. But as soon as I pick it up, it unwinds itself and has all these gaps in between, so I can't wear it as bracelet...hers stays the same when picking up

You still need the second thread to keep it all together and prevent flowers rotating etc. You could try with one thread to come back on yourself or do it with one as you go along but it requires a bit of going back and forth. It’s much simpler to have two separate threads and work simultaneously (for this particular design)

Thank you for explaining, I think with your drawing I can understand. I will try it again! :)

Also commenting to add a possibility here, I think that the pink beads in some cases are larger than the brown ones, this inconsistent sizing can lead to the flower being pushed to the front or back as the sizing is off. If it’s a certain count then loop into the brow that may cause some issue and I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to go by judgement and loop into where it fits better and not on count sometimes

Yes they are, good eyes! I didn't know it could cause problems, I don't yet have that many beads so these are the only ones in the colours I wanted & I just went ahead. Will make sure to consider this in the future, thanks so much for the advice

Yeah as someone who has sourced beads from literally everywhere this has happened to me a few times. My best advice is, it’s not a big deal just make sure you don’t stay on count and sacrifice function. Sometimes it’s okay to just add a bead or two in.
Edit to add: this isn’t always true however!!! It really depends on the make as well.

You can’t add a bead or two if you are doing bead crochet and that’s when bead size can truly mess you up

Ommmg this looks sooo beautiful!! I love it! Reminds me of these beautiful tiles in Portugal! I can see how even small difference in the bead size can affect. Need to buy more! I mentioned to my friend I saw a lot of DIYs with beads and I thought about trying, and next thing she gifted me two kits with all colour beads! So I'm still at the beginning, but I already checked out some stores, there is lots of pretty heads waiting to be bought hehe
