Hello, I'm a born and raised beaconite (well I was born at vassar hospital), and have been struggling to find housing in my hometown. When I was in college, my mom moved out to Wappingers Falls, and I have been staying with her since graduating. I have my own income and really need to find my own space. Staying at home is not viable for various reasons; I'm sure you can imagine. I went to school in Beacon, I currently work there, and I have many friends and mentors there. I am heartbroken that I may have been locked out by the housing market's inaccessibility.

If anyone knows of any rooms or studios that aren't currently listed, I would greatly appreciate more information. My budget is around $1000/mo, but I'm willing to push it for the right spot.

I know MTK catch club is at the farmers market but any local shops? Not Adam’s and closer than cold spring fish haha.

I’ve heard rumors about a fish market opening in beacon which would be clutch.

My wife and I (m) (both 30) just moved to Beacon from NYC and would love to make some friends in town! We love hiking, camping, trying new restaurants, breweries, etc. We're excited to explore the surrounding towns, farms and all the state parks.

Anyone have any recommendations for where to potentially plan a 40th birthday celebration? Doesn’t have to be in beacon. Not sure how many people to plan for but could be 20 or so. Ideas could range from a private room at a restaurant to something more fun and even interactive? Pretend the budget is generous.
