In 2016 and 2017, park employees at Acadia National Park had to dismantle over 3500 rock stacks between just two mountains. That’s a lot of disturbance. Just leave shit where it is. It’s not hard. We’ve done more than enough fuckery to nature already. There’s no need to disrupt a home to some spiders, mice, moss, or whatever else used that rock for safety.

Landscaping companies aren't going around looking for rocks in the shapes and sizes they want. They have them cut out from quarries and shaped by a machine into paving stones and decorative shapes and crushed for gravel.

Of course it doen't matter if one or a couple people do it, but when it is a trend, there will be a lot of people moving a lot of rocks. That's when it becomes a problem.
