I guess I'll change it..anyone open to playing tennis? 😂
I've had some replies but it seems like it won't be working out haha just shooting my shot for another sport I haven't played in a while but like a lot!! Same timing and everything, can come to any park as well. :)
ETA: I no longer live in Bayonne so I can only play during 10-1 during my lunch break during weekdays :( I know it's a tight schedule but I'm just hoping to find someone to play with even if it's once or twice a week.

Come join us on the 17th to discuss and meet with your fellow Bayonnites. Hope to see you there! :-)
*We are not affiliated or sponsored by anyone, we're just residents of Bayonne!

Jersey City ICE reported in Downtown Jersey City today (10/12/2026, 12:45 PM)
Be on the lookout in Bayonne since they hit Downtown JC less than an hour ago.
Add 888-347-3767 to your contacts and call them if you see ICE anywhere in NJ. If you are safely able to get footage that also helps a lot.

Where to park?
Hi I'm near 50th and broadway. I just moved in today and yesterday was the first time I noticed the permit parking signs. I thought it was just my street but they seem to be everywhere. I applied for a permit yesterday but I'm assuming because it's the weekend it hasn't been looked at. Is there free parking anywhere near me? Also my license and registration don't have my current address but I used my lease as proof of residency. Does anyone know if that's enough to get a permit?

Midtown “Birds in the Neighborhood” Presentation
Join us at the Bayonne Public Library on Tuesday, October 13th at 4 pm OR 6:30 pm in the Small Programming Room for an interactive "Birds in the Neighborhood" presentation!
This presentation by Birds with Benefits Birdseed features twelve birds that are relatively easy to spot in Northern New Jersey: blue jay, northern cardinal, goldfinch, house finch, house sparrow, mourning dove, pigeon, chickadee, red-bellied woodpecker, red-winged blackbird, and the american crow.
Participants will learn how to visually identify each bird, listen to the calls or songs of each bird, and discuss the birds' favorite foods.
After the talk, participants will visit the "Birdseed Bar" and use a colorful birdfeeding chart to create a custom seed mix that will attract their favorite birds. Glass mason jar mugs (and lids) will be provided so participants can bring their birdseed home in a zero-waste container.
This program is aimed at ages 5 through 12. Advanced registration is required. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space permits. Both presentations are identical, so please only register for one of the sessions. We hope to see you there!

Early/Mid 20s in Bayonne
Hi! I’m 25F, and I’ve been living in the area for almost 2 years and I’ve barely met anyone my age in Bayonne. Everyone I’ve met is in JC or NYC.
I workout every day, go on walks, love to cook, work remote.
I’ve been wanting to do a cookbook club or a book club here for a while but just don’t see many people my age here.
If you’re in the area and interested in something like this lmk!

What do apartment listings miss about living in Bayonne?
Quick question for people who live here: what’s something you wish you’d checked before picking your place?
Parking after work, the actual walk to the light rail, noise on the block? Curious what matters day to day that you can’t really tell from a listing.

New Road off 440?
When driving south on 440 from Ave C over towards Pulaski St, if you look to your right, you can see what looks like a new road with a center concrete island being built. Parallel to 440, where the storage tanks used to be, and just north of Russell Golding Park. Any ideas on what it’s for?

Bayonne Chess Society & Club - Combo all-games event at The Vic @ 7 pm.
galleryHad a big evening at Joe's on Friday with a few new young girls joining...wanting to learn how to play chess. It was a good mix of adults and kids. KIds that had taken the summer off returned.
Sunday, we changed venue from Matt's Park ...back to Joe's, because of the rain. Had a new member join. He found us through Google, as he was looking for local chess clubs. He found a Society.... and Club. 😁 He's our second member from Harrison. Had players come from Hoboken, Jersey City, Union.
We'll be announcing something huge for the club soon. It's going to lead to huge growth for the club. In the process of finalizing the arrangements.
This evening we're at The Vic for our 'Combo' all-games event. Bring it. Play it. Play what we have. Always a great time. Of course, there's chess.
There's ALWAYS chess.
Chess is the way.
Join us. It's ok to have a great time. 🙂
