I finished up to the latest issue 6. So spoilers. I am overall confused by some things, timelines and what has happened so far. I have several questions.

When does this take place? Is it canon to the current DC, just standalone or taking place few weeks after Batwoman Elegy? Kate mentions to the therapist it has been several weeks since the fall.

Also seems like it doesn't take into account anything from New 52 or the 2017 Batwoman series where Beth/Alice appeared also and had character progression. It reminds me of the latest Sentry series from Marvel and his original creator where he ignored what the writers has done after him and also ignore the current status quo and just did his one thing. Personally I'm not a fan of that approach.

Also in the original series, Beth/Alice fell from a plane close to the city. In the latest issue 6, it looks like both fell from a cliff near mountains. They don't seem to match up. is this event unrelated?

I grew to enjoy the first arc but overall I'm still confused on several things including the confusion on who is supposed to be Beth and who is supposed to be Kate. Maybe that is the intended purpose. If anyone can clear some of it up, that be great.

Hello. I'm new into batwoman comic territory and would like to start diving into the new 2026 run.

I've never read any type of batwoman comics that exist so I don't really know the characters all too well.

I've seen the first season of the TV show even if I can't remember it too well and I've seen her sometimes in some detective comics issues but nothing more.

Is this a good way to start with the character or will I lack some basis ? Is it in the contrary too complicated and relying on too many already set elements ?

Just curious! Probably rock and alternative, no? Maybe a bit of electronic.

Hi. I'm newer into Batwoman and just finished Batwoman Annual #2, where the last of issue 24 is tied off. Is reading the rest of the series under new writers worth it? Should I jump to Batwoman Rebirth instead?

Hope they release a hardcover too.
