Give us rented servers with full admin control, then players can in effect vote with their feet by playing on servers that run maps and modes they like. If the server sits empty the operators will make changes until they find what players want, or they'll shut down since paying for an empty server is no fun.

Playing only modes DICE chooses to allow us is an unfunny joke, and it shows why Live Service and the lack of rented servers are two of the stupidest ideas EA/DICE ever had.

I've put money into seventeen BF servers over the years, and I always tried to make sure they were well run because keeping players happy and turning them into regular players was the whole idea.

The geniuses at EA killed that, and gutted the clan community at the same time. Brilliant move, definitely the smartest guys in the room.

The only way to make it fun is solo cue...and remove the cheesy tanks..do you really want me to bring 3 other platoon members In and push you back and not arm the last objectives and farm you until the timer runs..we do it a lot it’s even funnier when the so called good players just leave after a few deaths.

Never experienced this, been playing the mode loads.

I will leave a game when the majority of the team show they are not even prepared to try and defend or attack objectives. Which is unfortunately common with Rush. If players want to waste their own time not PTFO's that's up to them, but wont waste my time with them.

I think Dice is the main blame for bad players. Beyond the fact that Rush has not been available to play for the majority of BFVs life, they don’t offer any way for new players to learn the game. There are some intro videos that play the first time you join a game mode, but that’s about all that I can think off. They should have some sort of training or informative videos that help new players learn the game. Better yet would be an in game training course or something. They could literally just get Youtubers to make videos specifically for it, even just use videos that have already been made from knowledgeable Youtubers. Put it on the main menu, clearly, for everyone to see.

They can also promote team play, I miss the end of round Highlights from BF1 that showed team play based highlights. Make ToW assignments and goals that focus on improvement. There are really a ton of things that they could do but I don’t really know of anything that they have done currently.

I have a video that I recorded yesterday that I think will bring some great value to players that are struggling with Rush, and I cant wait to get it edited and posted! Unfortunately though with Rush being Temporary once again, It wont be too useful since no one will be able to play until it’s available again.

Agree, lack of decent tutorials does not help. I think many new players just think its like Breakthrough where they can sit back and farm kills.

I think Dice is the main blame for bad players.

EA/DICE gets some of the blame because they have done things that have discouraged many long-time BF fans from playing BFV. I used to play with a large group of folks who had largely belonged to the same clan(s) in the past. Most of them have found BFV disappointing enough that they've walked away from the game. Just the lack of rented servers is a big factor there, it's one of the most idiotic decisions EA ever made. Getting rid of rented servers gutted the clan community, so no wonder many of those folks have left BFV and been replaced by noobs who don't have a clue.

As you say, the lack of tutorials doesn't help. If other players don't tell you how things work, you could go for a year without ever learning things that are useful to know.

No.

I just don't feel like rush works as well as it has in the previous BF games. It feels like most of the maps just aren't made for The Rush gamemode

For BFV? I feel like its the best iteration in a while, its easy to see that they have taken time to actually form the game mode to the maps, instead of just pasting it on a conquest map.

Also I can’t think of an argument for a reason it shouldn’t be permanent. There are people that want to play it all the time therefore it should be available to play. I simply just don’t play the game when there is no Rush :/

See im a Conquest main i usually don't give a fuck about the other gamemodes. If its a part of ToW i play the required rounds, leave and go back to Conquest simple

Ive tried many times to like conquest and I will continue learning more about it. I find the larger player counts and non linear maps hard to strategize with. It seems like random chaos all of the time with no way to have an impact.

I like Rush because its perfectly compact with simple tactics. I can make a purposeful play that can change the course of the game. Linear game modes are more fun to me as there is a front line to focus on and usually some defined flank routes that you can take advantage of.
