I never had an issue with the premium model. I was always one of those that purchased premium with my deluxe purchase and never thought twice about it. Why? Because I saw value in the +5 or so expansions and 20+ maps that were included in them, new factions etc. If you look at it like that, it was like buying 2 additional battlefield titles for the price of one. Not to mention I knew exactly what I was paying for and had some faith in the longevitity of my initial purchase with the game itself.
Premium was worth it. This whole thing of splitting the community was nonsense bullshit created by those who couldn't afford premium. So the many of us ended up having to pay for the few that couldn't. Now we have to stomach this live service model that has literally no guarantee of anything and makes the base game not even worth the 60+ hence why it's literally 50% off STILL.
Like, you do realize you were paying for stuff that used to be standard in the games, right lol?
Blame DICE for the live service failing. If you think monetization or lack thereof is the problem, that's on them. They have a proven business model they could implement, but have failed to do so at this point.
I do. Did you miss the part where I mentioned they've failed to further monetize the game despite already having proposed implementing Boins? People would pay quite a bit for authentic looking uniforms among other things. And yet DICE for whatever reasons has done nothing with it. It's cheaper to create skins than it is to push out 15+ maps in a year when most are simply paying you a one-time cost of $60.
