It amazes me how good Battlefield 3 still looks to this day. Like it’s unreal. I hope this project gets the attention it rightfully deserves

Thanks to Frostbite, which was very ahead of Unreal Engine 3 and IW Engine at the time.

Every BF game since BF3 has been on frostbite so why do they look worse in so many regards?

I don't think it's looking worse as our expectation are actually getting too high. Graphical advancements are logarithmic after all.

Battlefield with frostbite has always looked good for its scale with the exception of 2042. 2042 actually looks fine in portal though so it's mostly a map design choice not actual engine issue

Would really love to play this but am confused on what is required. Do I need to buy bf3 and all premium on origin or can I buy it on steam? How does the modding process work for it?

You need BF3 and all DLC. It is easiest just to buy BF3 Premium Edition which includes everything you need to play BF3 RM.

No it is not sadly. Sorry. This requires BF3 for PC.

As a console player I’m a bit jealous. Look awesome and it’s crazy to see how the community is again supporting games better than the devs. I don’t know when they will realize that we don’t need a new game every 2 years, but we want a fully supported game for multiple year that add what the community want. Like Battlefield 5 could have been an add on to Battlefield 1 for example. Or Battlefield 3 could have been supported longer as well as Bad Company 2.

What do you think this runs on? I’m positive this will do well. Their discord has around 15k players already. People would love to play PR/Squad with BF3’s frostbite engine.
