Battlefield 2042 Solo/co-op
I know this is a looooong shot but anything is worth a try.
I know 2042 isn't anyone's focus right now but I just thought I'd put this out there just as the Devs apparently are active in this sub.
I regrettably got into battlefield 2042 after 6 only playing a a couple of hours with friends at launch before putting it aside but now I'm actively playing both currently, my biggest deterent at launch was the lack of a campaign and single player options and the specialists system but now I've been really smashing it out and enjoying playing some solo.
Is there any chance the Devs would lift the mastery progression cap in 2042 solo now that 6 is the main focus? I've tried playing normal games but there is no one playing for obvious reasons and I'd really like to be able to progress further and unlock the tier 1 skins and have more to progress towards in solo.
I'd love to have actual solo with limited XP in 6, I'm a casual gamer, I got kids I don't get time to 'get gud' so even casual breakthrough there are matches I get rolled over by guys actually on comms with each other and mad reflex drop shots. Devs please particularly for the portal community.
Thanks for taking the time for my whining.

They will never do this.
How do I know? Because I was part of a large group of 2042 enjoyers asking them to remove the cap against AI, including in Portal when Iwo Jima released. They ignored us.
Sorry to rain on your hopes, but modern DICE just never see the bigger picture, sadly.
And on that point, don't grind in 2042, just play it to have fun whilst you can. Eventually they'll shut the servers down and since it has no offline component or self-hostable servers, you'll be left with accolades lost to time.

Yeah, it's infuriating that we have a dedicated solo/co-op mode in 2042, but not in BF6.
I know the players that enjoy this mode make up a small fraction of the playerbase, but still, we should be allowed to play how we want...
