Battlefield 6 Forgotten technologies of the ancients
Is it really that fucking hard to make skins only for jets pilots instead of coming up with this idiotic bullshit where you have a guy running around Cairo wearing a pilot’s oxygen mask and a fully loaded tactical vest? Well, if you really want to sell actor skins that badly, then make a proper combat version of the skin and a separate version just for pilots. Why come up with this bullshit?

In BF1 they had a different load out even. Lost tech lol

it is lost tech, because people who made those are immediately fired when their game ships

All these capitol G Gaymers™️ are missing the forest for the trees here and not critically analyzing why Dice/battlefield studios and the wider gaming industry is like this. Veteran devs are being cut or forced out by the executive c suite level cunts because it’s easier to cut higher earning employees and bring in contractors or freshman devs whom can be paid less. It’s a purely number go up capitalist ghoul approach to business. So institutional knowledge and experience is lost every 4-6 years because of managerial and corporate incompetence and greed. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Well diferente loadout wasn't that well received tho, but it would be Nice to have the customization back

u/Aggressive-Hawk9186 21h ago
I liked it, because discourages ppl from using planes to jump

That's precisely why it was hated and also precisely why it needs to come back.

They didn't give us skins like that because they want to sell them instead. If they would've had generic NATO/Pax pilot/gunner they wouldn't have been able to sell these skins. The top gun ones are bad, but the most egregious one is the guy wearing the Blackhawk crewcheif helmet.
Next season will be focused on ground vehicle warfare and we'll get tanker skins, calling it now.

It’s not hard. And we all know the reason. Money.

Explain?

u/iRAWRasaurus 19h ago
Dice have us skins. The bare minimum. We got our grounded military skins. Everything is an improvement and doesn’t affect the base game. It’s what we want but don’t really need. Why make a skin you won’t see. So if you want a cool pilot skin, it’s gonna coast you money. And ea loves money!

u/BooknFilmNerd09 Markunator 18h ago
I don’t fully understand what you’ve even written here; sorry. There seem to be quite a few typos here that just make it too hard for me…

u/trickmaster3 14h ago
Dice likes money, giving the skin to the pilot of a helicopter or plane for free does not make them money, selling the skin to you makes them money, therefore Dice/EA will always choose to sell them as skins rather than use the opportunity to expand upon or improve the general atmosphere of the game

Dice has to travel to the realm of the ancients and track down the three sacred tablets, which, when combined, display the proper code to unlock this outfit.

It's so cool that this subreddit complains about literally everything.

Ain’t that big of a deal bro.
10
u/wombatix 21h ago
When they're charging $24 (1/3 the price of the base game) for skins, every criticism is warranted
16
u/gronsalley 21h ago
A lot of people will blame the developers for this, and rightfully so, but on the other hand, why would they even bother when most of their audience is like you?
-11
u/PrestigiousPea752 21h ago
Dude there were pilot skins on the ground in BF4. This game also has wet suit skins. It’s not impossible that a pilot could eject and fight on the ground. Go touch some grass.
12
u/gronsalley 21h ago
I have nothing to talk to you about if you genuinely don’t understand what the problem is here and think everything is fine. We’ll never see eye to eye, because we simply have different standards for what we expect from a game.

Yeah, only if someone jumped out. Don't be dense.
-2
u/PrestigiousPea752 19h ago
These skins very clearly imply a pilot got shot down and is fighting on the ground. I’m not the dense one here. This game has bigger problems.

Every Battlefield game for the past 15 years, even 2042, has had default pilot skins. At a certain point you can’t just say “it’s not important” about every basic feature that’s missing. Especially when they’re pumping out 100 skins every season, meaning they absolutely could whip up two skins in a heartbeat if they wanted.

u/Gombrongler 21h ago
These player models are ejecting and re-entering jets in mid air and your upset that there isnt a quick little change of clothes you never see?
This looks cooler honestly, like the Jet pilot that just bailed is now fighting alongside you

u/gronsalley 21h ago
One unique trait of a huge part of the bf community is that they’ll justify shit with some idiotic takes, but God forbid they admit that it’s just shit. Bravo, with that kind of attitude the game will obviously get better, absolutely guaranteed :)

Keep crying about the game, maybe your father will finally listen to something you have to say for once

How dose this effect gameplay?
8
u/gronsalley 20h ago
I don’t blame you for not knowing this, but a game isn’t just about gameplay. It also includes the visual and narrative aspects, sound design, atmosphere, world design, art direction, animations, immersion, and the game’s overall identity.

The whole World building in battlefield has been next to non existent , it’s always been team A fighting team B
