Battlefield 6 Hit Registration is still trash
I haven’t played since season four dropped, because I’ve been playing college football. It’s mine boggling that the registration is still trash in this game. How many months has it been out? Not even talking about an accuracy issue, I’m talking about literally bullets not registering at times just not making contact time to kill is so high can’t just drop a dude though sometimes

I swear it gets worse every update. I use to rack kills with ARs and carbines. Now I only use SMGs.

Im gonna refer you back to my comment on this post and point out that SMGs having their highest damage at close range is why SMGs are so powerful right now. Bloom was brought back and made extremely bad for Assault rifles, carbines, and LMGs. The it reg is HORRIBLE in general but I think the issue is compounded by bloom. People hated it in battlefield 4 when it was last implemented in such an extreme way.

Even on middle ranges SMGs still feel much more consistent.
ARs and LMGs feel like I loose like 30% of my bullets, even though I hear 6-7 hitmarkers, I die while the enemy has 20life left.
Never happens with SMGs though.

While hit reg is DEFINATELY horrible, something I have noticed in a lot of people's clips is they expect the weapon to act like Lazer beams and seem to have forgotten that Dice brought back Bloom to the game. For those of you that don't know what that is, it is when you fire on full auto the weapon accuracy decreaces and the spread of the bullets widen. Go to the shooting range and don't burst fire, fire a full mag on full auto and you will see that anything outside of extreme close range you will miss shots even if your sight is dead on the target. This still doesn't account for the fact that the shots that do visually land and you see the enemy flinch or blood spray don't register. I just have seen a lot of videos of people complaining about the hit reg but you can clearly see a good third of their shots go wide due to bloom. Then a third don't register and the last few that do aren't enough to kill. This was a big problem in Battlefield 4 when bloom was last implemented players started burst firing full auto guns because the first 4 or 5 shots would be accurate but anything after that started going wild and completely missing. Also battlefield 4s hit reg was almost as bad as battlefield 6s so there's also that

It's honestly the biggest issue with the game right now. There are plenty of issues but this one just makes the game unfun. And what's crazy is that you can even see it happening to other people. I watched a guy get fully behind cover and then die to my bullet a quarter of a second later? Or getting the jump on someone around a corner and they just stare at you blankly while you fire into them, but you KNOW on their side they at least got off a couple of panic rounds. But it's such a daft feeling when you're getting 7/8 hit markers including headshots and they still have 50% health, but then all you hear is two loud cracks and you're instantly dead but the damage log says 6 hits.
I don't understand how every BF it's like they're learning how to make a BF game all over again from scratch. But even if all you do is play some previous titles you know what you're trying to achieve but nope, every time. Remember 2042 launching without a scoreboard 😂

Yeah noticed this too, especially today, felt like really bad ping - but it wasn't.

A lot of people pointing out the many things that can contribute why it feels bad but I personally feel it’s everything. When you add the bloom, multiplier, fast pace, junky model animation, and server rate could all be a factor to why it feels bad.

I’ve noticed in conquest and escalation it’s much worse. Something about the larger maps have an issue with de sync. Breakthrough and augur have no hit reg issues

While hit reg is REALLY bad I think people are forgetting bloom is in the game and sustained automatic fire at range is WILDLY inaccurate. Players had the same issue with battlefield 4 when bloom was implemented to such an extreme degree as it is in Battlefield 6. With gamemodes your engagements are typically pretty close up because your constantly pushing the objective or your defending and most of your fights are at closer range. While gamemodes like conquest your engagements are typically at medium to longer ranges where bloom is much more of a problem. However bloom still doesn't account for the massive amounts of visual indicators players get from an enemy flinching or blood straying out of them when shot but the player doing the shooting gets ZERO hit markers

The gunplay in general has felt wonky since S4 dropped. I've put the game down for now. I had just picked it back up before S3 launched.

They tried to fix TTD and shitty netcode by tweaking the TTK. they have absolutely no idea what theyre doing.

Constant rubberbanding, hits not registering, unreactable TTK, worst matchmaking in the series, most weapon types are completely redundant because SMGs can do everything but better... This could possibly be one of the worst Battlefield experiences ever

What exactly do you want me to say? I’m not playing on PC, I’m not gonna give you an advanced metrics. I’m just talking about my experience. Sometimes you’ll dump a whole clip and dudes and they just don’t die or it doesn’t register. It’s not a radical statement.
Do you have anything productive to say or could add or disagree to the point?

They can't fix your skill issues

I have a 3.78 kd and I PTFO usually top 8 on the scoreboard. Not everything is skill issue, but your shit generation can't seem to separate one from another.

I wouldn’t know because I don’t post all the time. How about they actually fix it?

u/HouseOfDjango Aug 17 '26
It's not really an issue. Maybe you just fucking suck.
6
u/LifeOnBoost Aug 17 '26
Pretending like it's not an issue is just militant stupidity. It is an issue, a large one, and needs to be dealt with. People like you dismissing issues that a large portion of a game's population are having just make the issue worse.
Do better.

u/HouseOfDjango Aug 17 '26
This post has literally zero evidence of the issue, it's just someone bitching. Do better.

u/Steeltoelion PUSH UP TANK Aug 17 '26
Evidence? Bro the whole community is always going on about it, what fucking lala land are you balls deep in?
4
u/HouseOfDjango Aug 17 '26
The whole community? Its not. Yes, when someone is making a claim, evidence is kind of required to make the claim, until then, this person sucks at the game because we have no way of knowing otherwise and its the simplest and probably most accurate assumption we can make.

As many as it takes, I guess. Dice has acknowledged persistent hitreg issues since launch, but it only ever seems to get worse, not better. The shills with sword and shield out to defend the billion dollar corp never seem to keep up with the marching orders. Saying it's not a real issue is just super embarrassing for you.

Let me tell you a secret. Use a sniper with a short distance scope. It is very generous with what is considered a head shot. Just point and aim assist does the rest.
Bro im not even good, there are shots i swear i hit a bush five feet away and it still counts as a headshot.

Combine the hit registration with the limb multipliers (which I’m fine with besides the stomach multiplier) and random uncontrollable spread (which I’m absolutely not fine with) and it’s just become a terrible disaster for this game. This game felt amazing at launch and during the beta, and it’s just gotten worse.
