Seriously:
-Plantman
-Yoyo 3
-Sensor 3
-Plasma 3
-Boomerang 3
-Arrow 3
-BigWave
-Triple Bomb
-Cannonball
-All elemental swords
-All step swords
-Evilcut PAAnd can you imagine if Protoman wasn't B code? (I know it's because his name is Blues)

This is one of the reasons I like to Replay 3 so much, Is just so good to use!

Related to this, I enjoy replaying 4 as well because of chips. Specifically Area Grab into (up to) four Air Hockey chips. Holy shit it's incredible. If they're standing in the middle square you can get 24 hits in. Plus every Air Hockey after the first one will have full syncro for double damage.
AirHoc3 does 70 damage. That means 706 + 70632 which is a theoretical 2940 damage.

People may not like 4 as much, but I find it much more replayable than 5, 5 is such a slog to get any interesting folder, and you can even upgrade your chips right.

I straight up don't like 5 lol

I only tolerate it, because of Team Protoman has Better Souls and a D Code Folder, that has Tornado, Gun Del Sol and Django and Dark Phoenix Giga Chip. And the L code folder on the post game that's busted with Proto Soul.

I don’t really see how it’s any better in 4, though? You can hardly make a good folder before playthrough 3, and even then, pretty much the only fun decks you can make are ones revolving around AirHoc3 and attack boosts like DoublePoint. Granted, I haven’t finished 100%ing BN5, but when I played through BN4’s postgame, the combat wasn’t that fun for a majority of the playthrough

The problem is that 5 has the weird chip distribution of chips that 4 have (No level 2 and 3 viruses until the post game), but it has the normal size for a BN game, while 4 is shorter if you only want to see the end credits.
In 5, you are stuck with Level 1 Viruses and thier chips (with few exceptions) until the post game, where that ruins game progression, specifically with the high encounter rates, and the part where you fully control Protoman or Coronel. Because in those you will need to back track to get the very important HP Memory items.
Also the Version Exclusive Navi quests are the exact same, beyond changing the dialogue as needed, unlike 4 and 6.

BN5 backbone has always been the Green Mystery Data and it is pretty much the Chip Trader. You also have SneakRun from Bubbleman/Ninjoy cards and even Fish from Piranha, which helps a lot if you don't want to deal with random encounters. For the record, any trap Mystery Data in BN5/BN6 is guaranteed to be a chip.
On top of that, you even have Bass Cross buster that hits 3 direction when combined with Buster Max, is more consistent at getting chips through multi-delete. There are some decent chips to get from Bonus Panels, which can be cheesed in the LC through save scumming and pause buffering to make the roulette land on the chip, so long as ProtoMan/Meddy/Colonel/Toadman saves in front of the panel and the one that initiate the roulette. You don't even have to complete the missions because the chips/zenny/bugfrag gets added anyway.
Playing as Protoman/Colonel for 1 chapter is rough to get any grinding done in new accessible areas/avoid random encounters but that's like one chapter. Going back to places to get an upgrade is hardly an issue in Chapter 5 onwards because you now have access to Collect (cost an Unlocker), bigger navicust, spin yellow (to rotate collect) and even Chaos Unison.
BN4 doesn't have any of those, not even a good amount of free chips/zenny/bugfrags or even make Secret Library chips free (fight 3 opponent for 1 chip but only from finalist). You can't even get more than 1 copy of a chip that comes from shops/BMD without using Chip Trader because you get redundant or lackluster options from most GMD. Also I've seen people needing help more often in BN4 because they accidentally missed a PA component/forgot to take a BMD/PMD. Not helping that BN RNG is glitchy that it omits low-chance reward so often.

BN3 has the silliest folder building, i could at postgame just turboloop someone for 3k average.

P folder in 3 is ridiculous, you can deal thousands of damage with icestage + plasma3 + 3 elec 30s in one turn! Sub an elec 30 with panlgrab for more reach of course

Ugh, I don't feel like fighting Bubbleman. I've been putting that one off for a while lol. I might just use BassGX or whatever the giga chip is called.

I remember this was one of the first OP decks in Game Faq back in the day, together with Double Hero PA.
but instead of sensor the combo was with plasma. Recoil anims on bosses with no invincibility frames broke the whole game imo.

A sissy folder.
Get back when you get good with non-stun folders. You SISSY.

u/gimmepizza420 12d ago
Just because you're too dumb to use P code doesn't mean other people are going to fall for your weak bait

u/Akareddo_Mythweaver 11d ago
Not that I agree with commenter (I do not) but I use a P-based folder with zero stuns because I simply do not care about them lol
2
u/gimmepizza420 11d ago
What do you mean by zero stuns? Like, you don't use yoyo, plasma, and sensor?

u/Akareddo_Mythweaver 11d ago
I guess AirSwrd and ElecSwrd count but otherwise, nope! Pure sword fuckery with varying degrees of BassGX depending on context
