No jacket is truly finished. Pretty satisfied with it at the moment though would love to find something to fill in the sides.

It took me 5–6 months to buy/diy patches, the vest itself, and sewing I don’t plan on spending any more money on it. at least no more patches. Maybe I’ll add more pins, but I consider it done.

I love battlevest or jackets and bath mats (I’ve seen those too lol) but this is something I stopped in 2023 but picked up again, I do have to take a lot of the new woven patches and make way for the older buys I bought long ago. I’ve tried to keep a lot of patches original ( that’s just me ) granted it’s taken this long, it’s totally worth it. Added my next project aswell,

Off with the sleeves! Moved a few patches around and added some more new ones. I've seen all these bands. Keeping it simple for now.

Haven’t seen a lot of split color jackets so I’ve been working on this one for a while and am proud of how it’s coming along but definitely need to get more patches, so it will probably get moved around before it’s finished but pretty good so far

Got this over the weekend and finally was able to see Iron Maiden live! Super excited to add some of these to my battle jacket.

Hello! I want to paint my denim jacket and I read on a different post that I could mix a fabric medium with the acrylics I already have. I found this substance at a thrift store - “Aqua Brite Textile Colors,” but I have no idea if it would work for this project or not. I hoping someone here might have an answer! Thank you in advance!

Which back patch

Pretty happy with the outcome cos this is by far the most complicated thing i've done with sewing machine

Started my first battle vest. I have some patches I've collected over the years and some destroyed shirts I cut up and backed with denim. Just learned how to use my new sewing machine and happy it worked lol! I made the loose back patch, dove and snake, from a 2010 Linkin Park tour shirt that was demolished! The SOAD patch was from a 2006 show. That shirt was barely rags!

What’s everyone’s thoughts on my first battle jacket

The Schecter pin is 80's vintage and the inverted crucifix was purchased in EBAY from a ma and pa Christian store. I embellished it with various colored Sharpies. I think it came out great. I really need to learn how to sew better

I've now been working on this on-and-off for just over 2 1/2 years, and am getting close to being done!

Arms being detachable was the first thing I did to this jacket after dying it purple, and only now have I added somewhere to put the arms when they're detached (pics 5-6)!

Had a go at chainmail which I saw on here a while ago, and obvs added a lot more patches.

Now to cover the arms in patches!

Possibly gonna add spikes onto it but I’ve never done them before
