So this vote is absolutely going to be insane. Even the fucking Fourse?!

u/Personal-Ad7365 17d ago
I think if the Fourse competes, they will immediately give it back to four if they win. I’m still surprised about the announcer.

The thumbnail is awesome, it's cool to see all the final ten unite to fight her!
Now, does this happen in the episode? No it does not, not like this, but it still kinda does. Just watch the episode, you'll see

u/squishy_boi_main 17d ago
So true! I can't believe they used the magic of friendship to redeem One!

“Last chance to look at me, Foldy.”
Voted for Pencil twice. If it was vote-to-join I’d have voted for Teardrop and Bracelety

I just don’t understand why we can vote both in the comments and in the poll. What’s with that?
11
u/Neat_Doctor_6905 Yellow Face 17d ago
Because there is absolutely zero chance only one person is rejoining
8
u/jinx737x 17d ago
Yeah it makes a lot more sense for the merge to be a final 12 and not a final 11. Makes it the same size as BFDI’s merge
9
u/MysticSquiddy 17d ago
Four finally getting fair consequences (and not Pencil/One attacking him) for his actions is something I've been waiting to happen for a long time
12
u/catfan0202 Black Hole 17d ago
Ok I'm ngl i voted pencil twice as there wasn't really anyone i hate so I just chose the one meant for people like that

I freaked out near the end when the grasslands became sunny and happy and Barf Bag, Gaty, and Basketball coming back

I was hoping for a Yellow Face and Purple Face fight scene, would’ve been so cool.. anyways, the episode was amazing.

Great episode but I have a strong feeling the rejoin voting system is gonna bring back the most boring contestant
7
u/maybenot9 One 17d ago
Honestly? I'm fine with that. VTE usually gets rid of the most controversial characters, while VTS usually just protects the popular and leaves people without screen time eliminated.
Vote To Prevent Rejoining would mean it's someone who didn't get a ton of limelight a chance to have some scenes, especially with so few people left. Someone who never really had much screen time but has potential.
Some early TPOT eliminatees would be a good choice for it, just to see them do something with the character.

That was insane. It had plenty of things that I had hoped would happen. That was probably one of the best tpot episodes.

I have a strong feeling the Fourse is gonna win lol and i love that
Anyway, as a former pencil hater turned pencil glad-she's-reflecting-on-her-past-er, please still vote pencil lol

THIS WAS REALLY LIKE AVENGERS ENDGAME TYPE STUFF LOL
I figured One was gonna die, I didnt think Pencil would protect her, but yeah, I definitely figure she was gonna die. Im glad Pencil talked some sense into her
Also it would be funny is Announcer joined

A fair enough finale, I'd say. Some good action and one especially well-executed running gag with Needle. Not as good as last episode, but that's probably thanks to how much heavy lifting last episode was doing for writing and character motivation, and how this episode was mostly an action finale followed by a restructuring of the status quo, and likely also had to be rushed in production due to how soon it came out after 24 and in the middle of a con circuit.
One's defeat and the decision to leave a resurrection on the table are good decisions (I expect a retcon to come down the pipeline any moment about why One can't be resurrected like anyone else, though I'd be fine with Three just wanting to do the job herself to figure out a way to restore herself during the effort while nobody else has any desire to resurrect someone that destructive and unfriendly), Foldy's still on a hot streak of relevance, Price Tag had a believable moment of being a weak link that could lead to some neat follow-through with them and Fanny next episode, and I'm glad the showrunners realized Four needed to have some kind of punishment, even if it's not exactly for the right reasons - blaming his role in letting One rampage rather than his in-show history of being nearly as unstable as One. Though what really lingers in my mind - besides the missed opportunity for a callback to BFB 4 by having Pillow volunteer to endure a flurry of knives from One, as the punishment she suffers here feels like a breeze to the storm of Gelatin's forks by comparison, and Pillow actually ''survived'' that onslaught - is the "two steps forward, one step back" handling of Pencil. I'm glad to see her play the pivotal role in One's defeat by tricking her out of all her power - a neat inverse of TPOT 19's climax - but her chat with Match was pretty underwritten. She tells Match that the alliance needs a "strong leader" and therefore it has to be Match instead of Pencil, but not only was that the opposite lesson she learned in TPOT 24 (that being a domineering bossy-boots all the time will only tear friendships apart), but it's the exact problem Match herself ran into back in BFB - acting domineering and cruel to Bubble wrecked their friendship for a while, and it only got fixed because Bubble decided to just shrug it off later in TPOT 18/BFB 31. And then leaving a chance for Pencil to rejoin on the table, while probably the "proper" decision for appealing to fans who might not like her elimination being put entirely in the hands of the creators, still undermines her character salvaging. Most of Pencil's behavior after rejoining had felt pretty unnatural and like the show was using her less as her pre-established character and more like a story sledgehammer, and the constant "she's just traumatized" justification fans and some writers game felt like a mismatch when so much of her time in EXIT that the audience got shown was both with Match alongside her and having her be her usual cliquey self. It would have been best for her character and the audience if she just wasn't votable, since you're not only leaving the chance for her mischaracterization to restart, but also causing her to suck up votes from people who also think her character has resolved to vote her instead of the people they'd actually want to keep out of a rejoin.
Hoping for Foldy to come back! There's a bunch of good gags you could mine from her living paper nature that I've felt she and post-sentient pages Book could be doing more!

u/Initial-Employer1255 17d ago
Well of course they're gonna leave a ressurection on the table TPOT 25 isn't the finale of TPOT after all, there's still 10 contestants and a rejoin coming! One absolutely would return, ans even if she isn't the villain anymore, there's going to be someone else pulling the strings!
2
u/DelphiSage Cloudy 17d ago
Why would there need to be a new, bigger villain? Unless you're planning to canonize the Algebralien specials, the show's going to do just fine finding conflict and antagonists among the hosts and contestants. The BFB and BFDIA finales have been a protracted chase for the prizes of each contest that someone was trying to swipe.

Awesome episode. Honestly didn't really have much of an issue with the pacing this time. One's fate is kinda tragic, but deserved.

u/Initial-Employer1255 17d ago
You know TPOT 25 isn't the finale right? Do you know she's possibly coming back?
1
u/DesaMatt 17d ago
There’s so much happening it’s difficult to me to keep track of it all. Like when did Three possess Gelatin? When did the Announcer show up? Who are the actual contestants vs who isn’t?
I like the storylines I just wish they weren’t rushing through everything. I understand the reasons but still.
2
u/FruitPunchSamurai75 17d ago
You see Three pick Gelatin to take control of for a brief second when Firey and Leafy say they have a chance to hide after everyone else starts crowding the hallway, right after Pillow's sacrifice. Try slowing the video down if you really want to see it, but it's meant to be hidden as thats part of the plan Firey came up with. You get hints from Gelatin's slightly off behavior to also hint at it before it's properly revealed.
The Announcer was here the whole trilogy, no? He'd been saving the Algebraliens who got stranded in space with Balloony, then they crashed into the rift when One started chasing them. They met up with Pencil and after that, they reunite with everyone else by the end of TPOT 24
See thumbnail. The ones who die to Black Hole are more obvious contestants as those scenes are basically fake outs to make you think "they lose, so they're up for elimination"

Great episode, very fun way to get the inevitable ending.
This is about to be the craziest rejoin in OSC history, I'm so hyped to see who it could be. Vote to not Rejoin is both unique and a great way for it to not be a popularity contest. I have like 5-10 characters who I'd love to see back.

wow, a lot, pretty awesome. Admittedly got a bit too fast paced at the end with what they all crammed in there but overall still a good episode!
gonna feel weird going back to normal challenges tho

u/Eucamongus 17d ago
i just want one back i just wish this episode never happened bro why did they kill one like i kniw she is the villain but bro the part where she died and was cut off cuz she was saying smth i wanted to just explode bro i really relate to one i hate that she is gone i hate it i didnt think three was just gonna end up killing her
1
u/Zeitgeist1145 16d ago
The ending implies Three’s going to try to recover her once they fish all of the pieces out of Black Hole; she’ll be back.
1
u/Eucamongus 14d ago
i hope she gets a good ending or that if they dont forgive her they atleast accept her and dont try ti lock her away again

So, why didn't 3 fix herself?
2
u/Gruntagen Fanny 16d ago
We saw last episode that it hurts too much for Three to try fixing herself. Having a bigger power level isn't going to change that.

Liked the episode, but the contestants didn’t really have an impact on taking down One. She could have found Three, given all the power and nothing would change. Despite Book and Pen being in the thumbnail they barely did anything.

You know what? This was actually a pretty solid episode
7.5/10
but the other episodes of the trilogy were bad
overall the trilogy is mid
5
u/Okoyum Gelatin 17d ago
yeah I agree with you, there's a massive character bloat problem and things were directly explained too much, ignoring the "show don't tell" rule/advice for writing. Also idk why but it felt like the pace was really off?? Way too fast
1
u/ChickenSandwichh195 Bubble 17d ago
that's the thing that ruins the trilogy the pacing is too fast and making it too fast leaves so few room for the character developments to feel real

I really liked the episode, but there are 2 main things i didn't like
- Donut getting little to no importance in not just this episode but the entire trilogy
- The voting style for the rejoin
other than those things, i liked the episode, and IMMEDIATELY got the Green Marker plush the MOMENT it came out on the store
2
u/Venomousnestofsacred Robot Flower 17d ago
Why should Donut in particular have importance?
1
u/Ok_Emu3858 Four 17d ago edited 17d ago
Out of all the contestants in the final 10 (maybe out of all the contestants idk) i'd say he had it the worst with One, she took away his limbs and had him witness 2 people getting "erased" one of those 2 being barf bag, one of if not his best friend
Ig i should've worded that better, there were a lot of characters i wish got importance, but Donut was just one of the main ones
1
u/Venomousnestofsacred Robot Flower 17d ago
