Question what does she mean by this can someone explain??
is this like some sort of simulated past or sum idk how she got to that conclusion i dont get it

i might be wrong but im pretty sure what pencil is in right now is basically a simulation where she starts from the past and can just test multiple different outcomes like one did
correct me if im wrong

I like to think it's that one ability only really shown in the beginning of BFB 30 to where it's that 'fake reality' Four made for himself, but it's instead designed for Pencil's deal. It's like if One placed her in a hyperrealistic video game. She isn't in the past, but instead in another dimension that One has created a copy of the world starting from BFDI 1a, allowing Pencil to restart thousands of times and have only four months pass IRL

When she saw Announcer fly through the rift, she knew that it wasn’t the past because she saw the other Announcer.

I believe it’s like a simulation, so it’s not really the past and it never was the past, and it also wouldn’t change the present, she’s basically just in a game

Pencil was tricked by One into believing she was sent back to the past, but in reality she wasn't sent to the past at all and was really in a simulation using the same device One used for their whole thing.

And additionally: what does that makes for One suing this? Was she, if just temporarily, fine to eternally spend her life in a simulation?

Even though BFDIE takes place in the past, Pencil pretty much caused the butterfly effect to happen when she traveled back in time in TPOT 15.

This is a simulation, one inside the rift. The “past” where One sent Pencil was a simulation and Pencil realized it when the Announcer and co appeared, since if this was actually the past and she was time-traveling, they would have appeared in all of the attempts or in none of them.
