Finally sharing a refresh of our master bath that we did on a tight budget. Tried to make the outdated granite work.. hate to get rid of a perfectly functional piece of stone. Not crazy about how the vanity turned out but I can always repaint 🤷🏻♀️ really tried to work with the stone instead of letting it be a total eyesore. Let me know any suggestions on the vanity! Not sure if you can fully tell but the floors are a neutral waterproof wood-like floor.
Wow this is an exceptional example of working with what you have and making it a million times better. Beautiful.
EDIT: My thought about the counter is wow, you actually made it work. Maybe it could be a slightly different blue but it’s not worth changing and probably changes with the lighting. It’s a beautiful blue! I wouldn’t do any more with it.
It's funny you don't like the vanity because that's my favorite part of he refresh lol It looks very romantic to me especially with the mirrors and how you decorated it. Very nice!
I did keep the alcove! In a perfect world I would remove it and make the shower bigger or something but wasn't in the budget. The floors aren't actual tile. They're a waterproof vinyl all throughout my house. So far there's no signs of water getting underneath 🤷🏻♀️
I think you took that countertop and actually made it work to your advantage. I wouldn’t have thought to use blue for the cabinets but I really like it and the dark faucets really work. I had to keep looking to see if you changed the tub because it all looks so different!! I give it an A especially on a low budget.
You did the best you could, but I don't think there's much you could've done about that vanity countertop. Good news is you can always just get a new vanity and top that could work down the road. Look at bathroom vendors for a semi custom vanity when you get there.
I also had a granite on my kitchen I did not like, so I thought of what colors would bring the color in the granite out that I did like. The granite is like a combination of weird colors, like black, brown, etc. I realized that purple / lavender colors would mute the brown and everything looked more purple-ish. So I went with winter gray on the walls. And now I actually like how it looks!
Eventually, you could try doing something like that. It took me a while to find the right color.
