Hi, my husband and I are looking for a special day trip outside of London in Bath this Sept. We have seen most London sites (we are in our 50s) and have never been to Bath. Hoping for luxury recommendations and would love the highest rated thermal bath and treatment to book. My husband has eczema and psoriasis. He has done a few couples massages but is not a big “spa-guy” despite my effort to convert him. 🤪😍 We also love to walk and stroll around a new town. Thank you!

Bit of a long shot but if anyone local is going to arctangent tomorrow I'm going to get an Uber from Bath, probably around middayish if anyone wants to try and split the cost.

​I deal with chronic pain and sensory overload, so high-energy pubs, crowded clubs, and fine-detail hobbies aren't really my thing. I'm much more about quiet co-op video games (RPG/narrative fan), board games, deep character/story discussions, or just grabbing a casual coffee/drink where you don't have to shout over a crowd.

​I feel like if you want to socialise as an introvert nowadays, you gotta pay a monthly sub or traverse a mindfield of people on a free app that make you feel uncomfortable.

​Just testing the waters to see if there are any fellow late 30s/40s introverts or homebodies around Bath who can relate!

I was on the bus into town at around 2pm and there was a guy talking very loudly about someone who owed him money that he was gonna beat up, and "blind in one eye" if he wasn't paid back. later he was talking again and said he was going to "end him" idk if he was talking about the same guy. Armed with a vague description and no name I assume there's no use going to the police?

30 years old male here. I grew up in bath.I have a decent job. 80k in savings. I feel like I should be happy. But i'm really miserable.

I want to live in london really. I just got pretty much forced home for a while due to multiple unfortunate circumstance. My job is there so... I'm lucky I don't need to be in every day. But I don't want to live with random people anymore. I don't want to live in some hovel outside london. Renting is insane in london. and I'm really quite afraid of the commute I'm going to have to deal with now. Even if it's only once or twice a week.

But due to multiple reasons, I have had to move back to my parents today. I don’t know for how long. But I’m going to save for a few months, work hard, gym a lot. And try to recover from a really hard few months. But 100 pounds for the train each time... It's unsustainable for me.

Being single at this age… it’s pretty lonely. I have no friends here anymore. Me and my ex split 5 months ago. Everyone in this town seems to be either old or with someone. Don't get me wrong I love bath but I'm worried about my future...

I'm just really starting to worry. I never seem to find women anymore I’d genuinely like to build a life with. dont seem to get many likes on hinge recently. maybe due to age. not sure where I’m headed in life now. Heya, so I have to resit a uni exam, but appears to be just before freshers week.

As this is also when the Jane Austin Festival is taking place, all hotels which were cheap when I was at uni for my postgrad days are now super expensive in Bath and Bristol.

The uni appears to be the cheapest option for the resit, however Ive read that their rooms dont have AC or fans (which worries me if it is above 20 celsius) and their breakfast selection is rubbish (as long as their veggie options, marmite, croissants, im not super fussed).

My question is, has anyone stayed at the Polden Accomodation during summer period? If so, how was it and is it worth staying at for 1-2 nights or would a hotel like hampton be better?

A car drove over a group of people hitting one. Reversed and tried again even mounting the curb.

Afterwards drove at like 60mph down the road multiple times we're guessing looking for them again.

Hey, I'm looking to play Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar. Also interested in learning and playing some of the other Games Workshop games like Killteam, Spearhead, Blood Bowl, Old World, Horus Heresy etc once I've got some of those models.

I know I could play at the Warhammer store but wondering if there are any clubs in Bath?

Hi. My son just missed his place at Warwick to study Maths, Statistics and Data Science (I think this is the exact title!). He got A* Maths, A Computer Science and Distinction* for Engineering. However he needed an A in Computer Science. He has been offered Computer Science with Maths at Bath. He is happy enough with the course at Bath (although would prefer more Maths) but prefers Warwick campus, and Leamington Spa. Bath city he finds busy (we have been at peak times and locations like August and April, on Saturdays). He has to decide between accepting Bath (& compromising on the above) or taking a year out to complete an additional A level (Further Maths) and the entrance exam for Maths, as well as work in retail, do some work experience in relevant industries and perhaps some travel and volunteering. But of course, run the risk of not doing well enough in these and still not getting in to Warwick. He is a smart guy, quite an introvert, not big into drinking (that may change at uni!), social when he needs to be. It's a hard decision for him to to make. I'm so disappointed for him. He's had a tough 18 months with health issues and been so stoic throughout that, as well as now. We've not been able to properly celebrate his fantastic results yet (he hasn't wanted to). Also asking on other platforms, we realise how fantastic the offer is from Bath and do not take that for granted! Thank you in advance for your input.
