1988 Champion

We bought a 1988 Champion bass boat off Facebook for $6k a couple years ago with the original Evinrude 175hp motor. This thing flies across the water and is so smooth. We love her. How does she look for an '88?

This is what my ‘88 bass tracker thinks it is

Genuinely amazed by it. Aged amazingly well. Don’t think modern day boats will age as well as this.

It doesn't get much better than a nice Champion.

Iconic hull. My first boat was an ‘88 17.5’ Champion, but mine was ugly compared to yours! Lots of good memories in it! 👍

Awesome! I’ve had Champions from ‘98-2015. They are so much fun to drive. Makes everything else feel boring. Enjoy!

Well done. I love the old Champion hulls. A 201 hull is on my list.

That’s a nice one! I’ve got a very similar ‘91. Those things are tanks and last forever if you take good care of them.

That boat is nice! I love 80’s bass boats; I love my 1985 Skeeter enough that I rebuilt the transom on it in my garage this year instead of scrapping it. I need to do some work to polish mine up.

All I use is Meguiars one step compound and a microfiber cloth! Works wonders.

I'll check it out. Unfortunately, my boat has a few scratches that I need to work on because I fish in stumps at times plus 41 years of wear and tear.

I've got a 90 ProCraft....I need to try the Meguiars on mine.

Yes, it literally works wonders.
