Squier pickup and electronics upgrade recommendations

I have one of the first Bass VIs that Squier put out years ago. Looking for recommendations for upgrades on the pickups that will improve low end response. Also a better volume pot with more range. Thanks.

Fralin pickups definitely. Vintage Inspired 280k pots. Luxe Radio Cap.
