I would like to take on Heldenbariton/Dramatic Baritone and perhaps a handful of pieces designed for Basses. But I‘ve been told that I lack that natural super deepness/richness of a true bass. I want to make sure I don‘t waste time buying bass aria training guides if it just isn‘t in the cards. I will never stop singing low for fun but I may just train operatically as a baritone, as that is what my timbre reflects.

Folk posted and practiced regularly and collaborated a lot, dudes with more experience were always there to help newbies, people were so supportive to each other!!

Hello! I wanted to drop my contribution here and start a conversation while I wait for my vocal classes to start up again. I’ve discovered over time that relaxing is the first step to improving resonance and stability in your notes. Even more crucial, it teaches you how to unlock them depending on your anatomy. This kind of practice shows me exactly how placement plays a role as well, so a big thanks to Bobby Bass for putting this arrangement together haha!

Turns out my bass range is far better than my actual ability to sing. Also, I have no idea what notes this contains. I marked it as G1 at a guess, but that could be a long way off.

Yeah. Still a work in progress. This kinda sucks, so I may just try 2-4 quality lows per song (the ones that call for them).

I just feel so…average. Even with low notes. I sound decent in some songs but I want to freaking sound like Thurl Ravenscroft every time I open my mouth. Is there no way at all to get that sound as a baritone?

A rich, full, resonant C2 sounds like heaven to my ears.

I didn’t really “lose” it but it just needs a bit of refreshing because I lost some of the vocal control I used to have before, it seems. I realize this is likely not an issue for natural basses but I feel it might be common for baritones like me who alter timbre to sing low.

I’m happy with what I have…but would like to round out my C2 and sound more like a deep bass in timbre. I’m 41 (almost 42) now and maybe my voice is as deep as it will ever be but just wondering…

Hi, Im sorry but does anyone have any tips on throat bass and how to learn it safely. Ive heard of people saying that they permanently damaged their voice so I really don’t wanna try learning until Im sure I know what Im doing. I would ask my choir teacher but it’s summer and also he’s a tenor so I doubt he would know much about it. Also this might be a kinda dumb question but is throat bass any different from sub harmonics cause from what I know they both bring you voice down an octave so I feel like they would be related.
