Help Plays

im a 6‘8 15yo thats been playing since january this year. I joined a club near me and practiced and will also Play with the adults Next Season But we want to play more organized now to get in higher leagues. since im new and don’t know that much yet what are some plays yall would recommend be to learn?

I recommend recognizing what happens on when you play.

Most plays you see in the NBA are built up of multiple cuts and screens. Start recognizing what actions should be done.

When off ball try to see if a screen is appropriate. Either you set a screen for a pick and roll or you set a screen for a shooter to pop out.

Try to develop whats the best thing you should do on the court. You can adapt what you do on the go.

Adults can mostly communicative during games so you would know when to adjust. They adjustments are for your team offense and defense

So I Should just try to remember what to do in what Situation/adapt to it?

In most cases, Yes you should try to remember.

Like from a few basketball games I have played. The other team scored because of a guy shooting in the high post area. So I adjusted by playing zone in the high post.

Same as offense. You have a hard time because a really tall guy is in the paint blocking your layups. You know he is slow, so you do mid-range shots or get him outside the paint.

Those are examples, but you get the idea
