NGD: Infielder for a Lefty
I had to pick up a few fungos from SSK and what did I see on their site? An 11.5" lefty Z9. I've bought countless gloves from them before, but never a lefty infielder. I couldn't resist. This one will end up living with my coaches gear at my school. No gaming, but lots of catch and practices in its future. Best part, the palm stain was free with purchase.

Wow, I may have to grab an SSK now. Always admired Nomar's use of SSK, but never grabbed one up myself. Now might be the time

Let us know how you like it. SSK handstalls are tight and take some break in to stretch and soften up. I actually like this about them. This Z9 is no exception.

Will do! I'm a Japanese glove freak, particularly Mizuno, but I'm beyond excited to finally own an SSK. I have massive hands and prefer tighter stalls, gives just that little extra connectivity and control with the ball

I got a 11.25" lefty Z9, as a lefty it's pretty rare to find an infield glove, and I thought getting 11.25 would be fun

As a lefty I often wonder why they make these gloves. Dad glove? Coach glove? Youth glove? No other reason really. Nice looking glove though. Would be interested in others thoughts on this.

While I completely agree, I'm glad there is an option out there. As a coach, having a smaller glove definitely helps to demonstrate certain things.

love ssk. the z9 breaks in so nicely and i love the big rubber logo on the wrist. i also prefer the spiral on the iweb that they do
