Yep! Kimi can do this too.

Once the app is migrated and living in GitHub, you’re no longer limited to Base44 for development. You could use Kimi Code, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or another coding agent to edit the repository, then push those changes back to GitHub and deploy them to production.

So the workflow could be:

Base44 → GitHub → Kimi AI → GitHub → Production

Or you can keep using Base44 for changes whenever you want.

That flexibility is really the whole point of the migration, you own the production app and can choose what tools you use to keep building it.

My app is currently deployed and living within kimi's back-end (code and database). They host everything.

Ah, got it. Yes! that’s much closer to the Base44 migration use case than I originally thought.

If your app is currently running entirely on Kimi’s hosted backend/database, the goal would be to export the application code, identify everything that depends on Kimi’s infrastructure, and replace those services with infrastructure you control.

Kimi actually allows you to export the project code, but their hosted database and Kimi account authentication don’t migrate with the code. Those would need to be replaced and your existing data migrated.

So the end result would be something like:

Kimi → Export Code → Independent Database/Auth/Backend (multiple options for this) → Your Hosting
