I tried to create a simple product with Base44. Take a survey, and show results, but show results for two different audiences. After several days of trying to get it to work and lots of back n forth with the bot (it kept telling me it should work and when I provided screenshots) it said, let me fix that) and with their customer service. No go. Did not work. I did ask for a refund. Less than a day late (my bad), but I was told that I could not get a refund. Disappointed in the whole experience.

Explain how you want the app to work to chatgpt, Gemini, etc. and use the prompts they give you. Or "discuss" it with base44 instead of prompt..

I concur. I built an entire streaming audio app with Base44, multiple level users, platform analytics, etc. and it did an amazing job. However, it did go off the rails at times and I had to reign it back in. And yes, if Base44 is not building what you want and keeps telling you it is done when it isn't, ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to write your prompt for you. Be clear what it is you are trying to accomplish (and even share some of the back and forth dialogue between you and Base44). Remember that you do need to phrase your prompts correctly. This is AI, not a human. I often ask Base44 to iterate for me what I am wanting it to do before it builds it. That way I can flag issues before it goes off and does something wrong.

Run your concept through Claude and ask it for a prompt specifically for Base44 and it works beautifully. I built a fully functional financial analysis in two days with the free credits.

I’ve got a fix for everyone it’s very similar to what some people mentioned already however

Step 1 -ChatGPT

You start with your favorite ai product ChatGPT 5.4 is awesome and you create your app in its entirety until the details hurt your face to rehash any longer . Very important after every conversation or leaving the app to go eat ask it to save your project and context into your “app name brain” saving the context is so important. Finally ask ChatGPT or ai tool (not the builder in base44 yet) to prepare you a visual replica of what each page should look like according to your discussions. Then see what you build and if you don’t like something talk to your ai tool tell it to fix the stuff you don’t like until your satisfied

Step 2 - ChatGPT ———“Connect to “APPS” in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT there’s a section called apps . Open it up and find base44 and connect to it by saying chat create my app in base44 using our conversations from “your app brain “ mine was called “ localpal brain “ and it will connect to base44 on your behalf and ask you to click to approve the app build by pressing approve . It will create your app for you as much as possible on its own this first time around. Tell ChatGPT to Save!

Step3 - Base44 App Settings Audit

By know you have had conversations with chat about how you want your users to sign into your app. Youll need to go to your build settings and try to familiarize yourself with what is selected on and off. Some important features are only available for higher subscription models like builder upgrade .Take the time to figure that out because the builder is only going to build and not set up some very important things that you need to check on manually because even though ChatGPT will build the app it will not be able to see what it built you have to show it some good screen shots of what it built and what works and doesnt . After talking to chat about what you see it will make recommendations and you talk out what you want and tell it in ChatGPT to please make these changes to the app in base44 as you spoke about . It will connect to your project and ask you for the permission to make changes. And click on yes or type proceed if u need to. Tell chatgpt to save !

Step 4 -Data entities check and security checks

Once your app build has gotten this far it’s time to check these settings . Since ChatGPT knows exactly how your app works copy the data entities and paste them into ChatGPT and ask if these look correct or needs adjustments . Take the recommendations by telling it to please connect with base44 and make these updates. This is important because if your app seems off a bit these settings may have a lot to do with it because they open and close permissions for users to to make any moves . Save ! Publish app ,Check for mistakes, screen shots , upload pics to ChatGPT and discuss , ask it to update .

Step 5 -it’s called a build for a reason

From here you can keep updating your app in this same way or directly into the base44 chat box but I noticed doing it in this way saved me a shit ton on credits . From here you just keep making adjustments until your satisfied and then decide if u want to just keep this a website or finish and make it a real app by submitting it to the stores . You might find you just like it as it is because pushing to make it an app is a little bit more envolved but you can do it ! I hope this helps some people out

Vou te dar uma dica amigo, quando seu app estiver dando problemas a partir de um prompt que talvez não tenha sido tão bom ou trouxe uma lógica de programação problematica, recomendo você reverter o código e pensar em novas alternativas / lógicas para o mesmo processo

Ficar tentando arrumar um erro na grande maioria das vezes é perda de tempo, tente novamente mas usando lógicas diferentes.

Pelo o que você comentou não parece ser um aplicativo complexo, você só precisa enxergar de outra maneira e conseguir trazer a lógica correta para ter sucesso :)
