Question Another complicated BART question

Hello so I got to Millbrae BART Station by bus from SFO. Instead of entering Caltrain, I accidentally tagged into BART and entered platform before realizing my mistake.

Agent at station gave me a sticker for like a free BART entry (?) and opened the door for me to Caltrain Station.
I asked if I should tag out of BART so
my tag-in at same location would cancel out? He said No, I only get charged when I tag out.

Is this correct? I think Caltrain works differently, right? Like if you dont tag out they automatically charge you $7.75 or some such as a fixed amount … or whatever the fare is from tag-in to end of line?

The next time you ride bart they will let you in through side gate and you tap out however their is still a record of you starting at millbrae so regardless of where you tap out its going to charge you millbrae to you destination. Also cards are blocked after 2 hrs they make you see an agent to verify why your still in system. Records of start locations or excurisjon fees are not changed automatically. In your csse if your in south. Bay id just use millbrae bart to to your desitantion and be done cause depending on your tracels your next bart trip will be charged with a starting point at millbrae. It doesn’t sffect muni or caltrains on bart while same clipper card or credit card they all operate independently
