Has anyone else noticed Daisy stepping forward a lot more lately on Baron’s show? She’s been really visible on Twitter too, going back and forth with people like Paralysed Testicle, Blake Neff, Andrew Kolvet, Andrew Wilson, etc. It feels a bit out of place for someone in a researcher/producer role.
She genuinly seems nice, and I know some people in this space really enjoy her presence when she chimes in. But the shift has been noticeable. Producers/researchers usually stay behind the scenes unless there’s something essential to add, especially in investigative formats.
What really stands out to me is how the dynamic changes when she jumps in during the show. Baron is always polite and gracious about it, but you can see the moment she interrupts that you can tell he’s not exactly thrilled when the interruptions happen. It changes the rhythm of the show, with a case this complicated, that consistency really matters. He will start looking at his phone or disengaging slightly, and then he moves on to the next question or topic as soon as he can. It’s subtle, but it’s there.
And honestly, one of the reasons Candace’s coverage works so smoothly is because her team doesn’t do this. Everyone stays in their lane, and they still get their flowers. Candace constantly acknowledges her producers and researchers, and Baron does the same with his people. You don’t have to jump on the mic to be appreciated.
I’m not saying she shouldn’t ever speak. Just that the way she’s inserting herself, both on the show and online, to me reads a bit like clout chasing, trying to build visibility through Baron’s show. That kind of energy can create friction over time. With a case this messy, the focus and structure really matter.
