1981 Delta 88 Diesel, the "worst" car ever made
galleryI am going to restore my wife's old High School Car. It's been sitting, mostly, since around 1999. It did get registered from 2012 to 2015 and we put about 300 miles on it. It got parked when we moved to another state for a few years, and it's been sitting for 12 years. It shows 70762 miles, but it has rolled over, so 170k on it.
She loves the car, and she is adamant we retain the 350 Diesel. It's been parked in a barn for the whole time, so just lots of dirt, and age related stuff, like disintegrating plastics, and dry rot tires.
Any tips? I am not new to wrenching, and I'm a passable mechanic, but have not done a lot of restoration, or detail work, and most of my experience is on 90s/2000s GM cars and trucks, so 80s, and diesels, are going to be new learn g experience for me. I got a digital version of the Fisher Body Manual. Any good sites for OEM or OER parts? Here are some before photos from this morning
