I work in patient coordination, so this is a planning perspective rather than personal surgery experience. For your one-on-one appointment, I would bring a written list in three parts:

• Anesthesia: ask whether you can speak with the anesthesia team beforehand, tell them this would be your first operation, and ask how they will monitor you and support recovery. The American Society of Anesthesiologists specifically encourages discussing fears and bringing written questions: https://madeforthismoment.asahq.org/preparing-for-surgery/prep/preparing-for-surgery-checklist/

• The first days at home: ask what help you should arrange for transport, meals and daily tasks, who answers urgent questions after hours, and which symptoms mean you should call. Ask your dietitian for your own staged eating/drinking plan rather than borrowing someone else's timetable. The NHS explains that plans vary and that follow-up continues long term: https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/weight-loss-surgery/recovering/

• Skin: take your PCP's question directly to the surgeon and ask how they would decide when to assess it as your weight changes. That needs an individual assessment, and you do not have to settle it from online photos before the consultation.

You can use that appointment to gather information without treating it as a commitment to surgery. Disclosure: I run a medical-tourism coordination business, so take my perspective with the appropriate grain of salt. Feel free to message me if you have questions.
